The virus control c.unts that seem to be running our country now (
) are now making noises that the vaccines are not able to tackle the delta variant - 18 months now this is going on, and people all over the world were put through countless lockdowns under the guise that the vaccines would allow life to return to normal, and now they are sneaking in the possibility that we will be back to square one again

That's not true though augie. We've had 3 actual lockdowns here in Ireland for example. And no one in government or NPHET said the vaccines were a guarantee of a return to normal life. Most advised that there was no guarantee at all.augie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:28 amThe virus control c.unts that seem to be running our country now (![]()

It was an (cough Cough) an "Arranged Marriage " - apparently to appease both sets of parents AND his constituents to convince them he was a human being and not an alleged "******** ***** ******" apparently .

I just do not trust Boris and Co to get this right, yes they are under incredible pressure to life the lock-down, but better to wait a while longer than be the instigator of yet more deaths and even a 4th Wave.

The cases are up 5 fold in Oxford - IN the north there are new cases every day

Re: CoronaVirus Latest
I think what people are forgetting here is that there is a new variant in play.
Back in May when there were few cases we were going along fine - we might as well have opened up then.
The problem is that Boris let the Indians in with their new highly transmissable Delta variant so in reality we should have locked down further at that point.
Yes it is fantastic that the vaccines are working, BUT with the number of cases poised to now really explode then there is a big chance that this thing mutates as we approach winter.
Then what? If the vaccines prove useless against a mutation then this country is fucked.
Boris has gambled today by doing something no other country on earth would risk doing.
Good luck everyone.
