30 million quid for a guy that 3 seasons later has yet to play for the club and is about to embark on a third loan spell.

That’s a luxury we just cannot afford, absolutely fucking grim stuff (both the fee we paid for him and the 3 loan deals :banghead: )

🚨 Exclusive: Arsenal defender William Saliba looks set to join Marseille on loan. Not done but 20yo has picked #OM from many options & now clubs need to agree deal. #AFC want him to get full season playing — still part of long-term thinking @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/RemZlyyb5J
a 3rd season on loan in Ligue 1? Ridiculous if true

If he’s genuinely in our future plans (which he clearly isn’t) then at the very least he should be loaned to a premier league team.

Waste of money.

And if he was genuinely part of our plans, we wouldnt let him pick where he wanted to go on loan - this is just another power play from the basque c.unt who wants him out the door so that he doesnt have to keep facing questions about him every week, but he knows that selling him without giving him a chance will create a bit of a fuss too

I don't understand the third Saliba loan. Did we not due our due diligence on this guy? I mean he played 16 games in ligue one before we signed him. Are we one of those clubs know who spend big money on players with no coherent plan? Although at least it was only 27m pissed away. Its not like we spent 80m on Harry McGuire.

As for Xhaka, he always needed to go but his new bleached blonde hair confirms it. Never trust a grown man who dyes their hair blonde. Torriera also looks set to leave and Joe Willock. We should be getting at least 60m minimum for all three. That's minimum. The honest figure should be around 70m-80m.

We have never really been good at extorting other clubs for our players. We always sell at fair value. I understand Xhaka & Torreira will be sold at cut price/fair value. But Newcastle have a massive hard on for Joe Willock. Selling him for 20m would be making life easy for Newcastle. He scored 8 goals in 14 games for them & they want him hard. So why shouldn't we try to extort them for something closer to 35m & tell them we are happy to have him back unless they pay up (which should actually be the case). Willock has shown enough promise at Newcastle that he shouldn't be given away. Players can go for silly money when selling club digs in. If we dig in I suspect Newcastle will cave in and find the money.

Source BBC (and No Rodders that doesn't stand for big black cock) :D

Arsenal's deal for Brighton centre-back Ben White is all but complete and is expected to be finalised after Euro 2020, despite interest from Everton and Manchester City in the 23-year-old England defender. (Football London)

Arsenal are keeping tabs on former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos and have asked to be kept in the loop regarding the 35-year-old Spain centre-back's talks with Paris St-Germain. (Goal)

Now as if Ramos is going to snub PSG for Arsenal!??? - They will offer him quadruple wages plus a whole load of other stuff AND of course the chance to actually win a trophy or two - even though it may only be the French league. (anyone thinking we even stand a chance of signing him is in Cloud Coo Land)

Arsenal are closely following Sheffield United's Sander Berge, 23, but the Gunners face competition from Liverpool, Lazio and Napoli for the Norway midfielder's signature. (Sun)

Arsenal's 20-year-old defender William Saliba, who has been linked with Newcastle United and Lille, is set to join Marseille on loan. (Athletic - subscription required)

Arsenal are close to sealing a deal for Benfica's 21-year-old left-back Nuno Tavares, with the Portugal Under-21 defender flying to England to complete the move. (Sun)

 :goingtobed:

Arsenal have offered Reiss Nelson, 21, a new deal with the view of again sending him out on loan, with Olympiakos among the clubs interested in taking the England Under-21 forward, who previously had a spell at Hoffenheim. (Sun)

During the last 10 years of the wenger reign it was widely though that he wouldnt splash the cash and we would always haggle before getting gazumped by someone else ,the Higauin debacle bieng one I can think of amongst many .
However it would appear that old habits die hard ,it looks like we are short on the White deal and that Everton are poiisded to nab him from us .
Im also of the opinion that the so called war chest has no beans in it and we will have to fund any transfers with sales which is why I think the the Smith_Rowe Saga isnt just paper talk ,they want to tie him down long term but if they cant then they wil want to cash in on him .
Any amount of other players but please not him
It makes you wonder though if it was the club not the manager who wouldnt pay up and makes his overpaying what players you have seem almost sensible cos it makes them hard to sell from underneath you whih happend to wenger a lot !
!
Similarly we also cant seem to shift players nothing new there either ,Saliba was a very expensive buy he's probably on big wages and French teams wont pay the wages or that sort of fee for a largely unknown entity ,thus the loans, one suspects there could have been large agents commisions or even bungs in that deal .
Similar stories with torriera kolasinac and probably even guendouzi .
Hes fallen foul of arteta and thats it he has to go,im not against that per se but we need to shift these guys and xhaka b4 we can start ,as for willian we should find out what inter miami want to pay wages wise and subsidise the rest ,something weve done before many times .
I would prefer we sold Aubamayang and even possible lacazette which would fund a large war chest and make martinelli the main striker with a possible back up .
I would also keep Willock unless we get min 35 mill for him but id sell maitland niles ,chambers or holding, nelson .
As for who to buy i havent a scooby !

Arsenal & Marseille have found an agreement for Matteo Guendouzi. He will join on loan (€1m fee) with an obligation to buy for €11m.

Arsenal have agreed a deal with Marseille for Matteo Guendouzi, as reported by @MohamedTERParis. Loan with obligation to buy next summer. Arsenal will receive around £10m for the midfielder. Deal could be completed in the next few days. https://t.co/y1GQRpS2Ic

Prior to last season's transfer window I was hoping that lessons would of been learnt and there would not be a repeat of the Ozil situation or the Pepe transfer.I realised this wasn't the case when Willian and Cedric happened and the huge contract awarded to Auba .These are the same people who were responsible for signing a prepubescent pubber Goalkeeper who made the Souness signing of the fake George Weah relative at Southampton look like a bargain. To expect any difference this time around with this transfer team in charge is like spraying your todger with Miracle Grow and hoping it will add a few inches. It can't,it won't and all you end up with is limp dick that you have wasted a few pounds on.

We have set the precedent , agents know that we will subsidise wages to get rid of players and they won't go until we do.

Albert-Mboyo Sambi Lokonga to Arsenal is a done deal, and they also want his teammate Yari Verschaeren, via the reliable @GoonerTaIk.
