I have been one of the biggest fans of Adebayor on this Forum. I think he is a top player for us, and his 30 goals were priceless last season. However, I have also said that £30m, or close to it, would be good business as he is relatively easy to replace. I also feel that his behaviour at WHL when he thumped Bendtner was unacceptable, and I would actually have sacked him there and then.
I have never agreed with those who criticise his work-rate, as I simply think they are wrong. I do agree that he misses a lot of chances - but so did Thierry Henry as a youngster.
The business yesterday has left me in no doubt, however. He simply MUST GO. It was a disgraceful way to conduct himself and showed a disgraceful lack of respect for Arsenal Football Club and all of us who are connected with it. Time to get your coat Ade. Bye. We've seen and lost far better than him, so I won't lose any sleep.

I too have been a big fan of his, and of his workrate which has been a bonus after a year of a semi fit Henry.
Adebayor is badly advised. If he is promoting Adidas then fine..but to play media games is stupid.
He is a still a young man, mid 20's, and I am not sure a 30 year old player would act the same way.
It is unfortunate and unseemly behaviour from a player who can be an Arsenal hero if he was to carry on with 30 goals a season for three seasons in a row.
He can stay, but it will be under a small cloud.
I have met him once, in a supermarket. He was really nice, humble, was with his mates but did not act like a big ego riden star at all, took time out to chat.
I just hope that he has got momentarily bit carried away with things, rather than turned into a bighead.
