Ah you have to be under 21 when the cut off date starts, thought you could be 21 at that point

Another unknown!! Bischoff set for gunners

Post by LadyGooner07 »

Seems like it's gonna happen!!

From sky sports:

Amaury Bischoff says he is set to join Arsenal after turning down a new contract at Werder Bremen.

The French-born midfielder has had his career tracked by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger since he was a youngster with Strasbourg.

He moved to Bremen in 2005, but has made just one senior appearance for the club against Celta Vigo in the Uefa Cup in 2007.

The 21-year-old was offered a new deal to stay in the Bundesliga, but claims he was unable to turn down the chance to move to Arsenal.

"Bremen was superb, but Arsenal is a huge opportunity for me," Bischoff told Bild.

"Wenger has known me since my time at Strasbourg and believes in my quality. He trusts me to be in the first team.

"Wenger has not put me under any pressure. He said, 'Take all the time you need'."

Bremen's managing director Klaus-Dieter Fischer admits the Bundesliga club were keen for Bischoff, who has struggled with injuries in the past, to stay.

Fischer told the club's official website: "We would be happy to have Amaury, but he has decided to take up a new challenge.

"We wish him well and thank him for the past three years."

right ladies and gents i got my coach stefano eranio to do me a report card on mr.bischoff and considering im frankfurt the results arent good:

like many of my coaches, stefano considers for some reason junichi inamoto to be my best central midfielder, and bischoff is some way off and no where near the standard to be better than bischoff. He is however ambitious like mr adebayor and has a streak that can get him into trouble. Also he is a fairly unintelligent player on the pitch but i could pick him up for the princely sum of 24k if i wished or get him in the summer for nothing. Eranio sums up by saying i should buy him only as a last resort!!

More than likely football manager has got it wrong and he'll turn out to be a promising player, hoepfully not a diarra though!!

I agree with Goonarmy: FM is never wrong!

Perhaps he's being lined up as a treatment room pal for Rosicknote?
