Hopefully can give dirty Leeds the good hiding they deserve. I am hoping for 8 to surpass the 7-0 win in 1979.

We all hate Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds, We all fcuking hate Leeds!
I remember being in the Clock End that night, big shock at the time, I couldn't believe it as they were our bogey team at home although we often used to win up there.

They went down to Division Two soon afterwards & stayed down for years! :barscarf:

We beat Everton around 2005 on Monday night 7-0 but I can't remember any other 7-0's, have we ever scored 8 in recent history or even since we left Woolwich? :rubchin:
There was a time some years ago now where we always used to thump Boro. Maybe not by 7 but we did score a few.
I remember when we were 1 nil up after TH14 lobbed their keeper and then they went up 1 - 3...

Then Antnio Reyes and Bergkamp destroyed them 5 - 3 ...what a game that was, I was in the Clock End with my Big Brother Mike (R.I.P) and even though they were 3- 1 up he turned to me and said

"We'll come back and beat them don't worry mate!"

And right enough we did. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

First game of the season that I’m looking forward to and my first game since the Olympiacos debacle in March 2020. Shame we’ll have the presence of their inbred norvern monkey fans but hopefully we’ll play a strong side and send them away with a defeat. Need us to go all out for the cups to keep me interested as the league bores me shitless these days

Dreading us fielding a rag tag bunch of shite. Yes, I’m looking at you Kolasinac, Elneny, Leno, Maitland-Niles, Cedric.

Both teams are mid table at best. If we play our second string superstars and they play at full strength I think they will do us 2-0. Both teams remain unchanged we'll win 2-0. This cup does matter as we wont win much else. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Given it's a trophy we haven't won since 1993, I'd actually like to see us lift this one.
All this shit about it being a Mickey mouse trophy is a falsehood. Why is it that successful teams keep winning it? Liverpool and Forest won it in their heydays, as did the chavs and as do City now. It's amazing that clubs like Burnley, Palace and Newcastle don't win it more often if it's not that important.
