Samir Nasri

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And there we have it .......july 1st come and gone and still no sign of nasri

I have siad it before and I will say it again we should pull out of this deal if it doesnt happen by close of business tomorrow  If the hold up is nasri or marseille I dont give a flying fcuk - we are allowing ourselves to be bullied yet again in the transfer market and I am pissed off with it :x
If we are serious about this boy then get the deal done, get him over to london so he has time to sort out accomodation and settle in before pre season training starts so that the only thing he will have to focus on is bedding into his new team (and learning the art of wing play from eboue of course   )

It wouldn't surprise me that the deals been put on hold because Wenger's reached or is on the verge of reaching an agreement with Hleb. I doubt it's Nasri that's the one holding up the transfer as it was him that announced he'd signed for us

5 league goals in 91 games, an injury-prone season in 07-08. Not good enough to be a starter in one of the worst French squads in living memory.

Am I the only one praying this guy doesn't come to The Arsenal?

Or is he that damn good?

Scary when you go onto the Marseille site and search for articles on Nasri. Most relate to injuries..... He is obviously highly rated so I guess we should be pleased if and when he signs...but fingers crossed he has just been unlucky so far in his career!

Also - the "...new Zidane" tag. Is this because he plays like him....or because his family originally come from North Africa??

I'm beginning to think the boss just does a google search each summer under "young injury-prone "

Nasri's family comes from Algeria like Zidane's - and he is one of the brightest young prospects (according to reports) so probably just like every Argentinian being labelled the new Maradona (apart from Nelson Vivas  )

We need to buy him sharpish so we can sell him to Barcelona or Madrid before the transfer period ends!
