Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Source BBC Sport:
Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 25, expects to leave the club in the summer, with Arsenal and Newcastle United both interested.
So he will be off to Newcastle then.
Arsenal are expected to open formal contract talks with England winger Bukayo Saka's representatives at the end of the season and are under pressure to include a release clause in the 20-year-old's deal
Totally understandable so when he gets fed up with winning sweet FA under Carpet Head,,, Man City or pSG can scoop him up

This is like the Wenger 08-09 experience all over again. Always 2-3 players away from a top team and eventually the best players get picked off and leave

I see this as a major weakness of Arteta , Saliba will force thro a move and be at Real , citeh in 2/3 yearsOneBardGooner wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 4:00 pmIf the rumours coming out from Marseille are true and Saliba does in fact want to stay there; and who could blame him the way he has been treated. Then it is a Disgrace, both Saliba and Gendouzi have flourished from fledglings to damn good players in Marseille.
I think Arteta has very specific ideas about what players / whom he wants and if they don't fit exactly into that mode he's not interested in working with them and using man management skills, which surely are part and parcel of being a Coach & manager

We have the best young CB in Europe under contract but you just know Arteta will fuck him off to keep Ben Shite in the CB position FFS

Source: BBC Sports.
Arsenal have had a £76m bid for Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, 23, rejected by Napoli. (Calciomercato - in Italian)
I don't follow European Football etc but haven't heard of this guy

Been compared to Eto'o Drogba, mainly because he if African. But that being said he is probably the best young African striker in the world right now.
If its true we have bid that amount, then at a minimum is a sign of intent.
Id love for us to get out of the blocks early with a major signing and get Saka and Martinelli tied up.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
No why should Saliba be loaned out again. Marseille can either buy him or he comes back. Ridiculous to spend that type of money on a player and loan him out three seasons in a row.
As for the other loanees. Sell Bellerin, Torriera, Guendozi, Nelson and keep, thats right, keep, AML.
Sell Tavares, Xhaka, Leno, Cedric. Lacazette will leave on a free and probably Nketiah.
Its so obvious which players need to be moved on.

Lucas Torreira’s agent reached an agreement with Arsenal for the sale of the player for €15m but Fiorentina have decided not to purchase the player (@MatteMoretto)

Gabriel to Juve for €50m worth of cast offs?!
That’s like me taking back £50 of fillet steak to the supermarket and Sainsbury’s offering me some stale bread, ripe bananas and a load of sausages that go off tomorrow in exchange. Fucking insanity if we are even considering selling him for the likes of Melo in part exchange.

I think a better manager would have got more out of him tbh , there have been times in the last two seasons when we were crying out for something different. Guendouzi and him instead of Clive and whoever elsemcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 11:34 amLucas Torreira’s agent reached an agreement with Arsenal for the sale of the player for €15m but Fiorentina have decided not to purchase the player (@MatteMoretto)

I'll be stunned if Saka, Martinelli and Smith-Rowe are still with us in two years time tbh.

Torreira seems to have bullshitted that story on his Insta today so looks like an agreement has been reached.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 11:34 amLucas Torreira’s agent reached an agreement with Arsenal for the sale of the player for €15m but Fiorentina have decided not to purchase the player (@MatteMoretto)
Could have been a very good player for us except his missus found London too cloudy
