Fábio Vieira

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

At least he's already got a song - all we've got to do is change "Senegal" to "Portugal".

He doesn't look anything like a beast though of course looks can be deceiving

I guess Time Will Tell.

I sincerely hope he is a good signing and is very successful here. :barscarf:

This "beast" thing concerns me. I'm hoping he's not a brainless fucking moron that rushes in and picks up stupid unnecessary yellow and red cards like a childish selfish prick. We already have one of those.

Not sure where this ‘beast’ reference has come from?He looks very slight!
In the interview on .com (yeah I read it!) he said his strengths are his passing and finishing and the thing he needs to work on is the physical side of the game.
Sounds like a fairly typical attacking midfielder and not a no nonsense ‘beast’ type player at all

I'm beginning to think something has been 'lost in translation'? :rubchin: :rubchin: :rubchin:

Maybe someone was calling him a 'Tit' but being a family forum changed it to Breast?

Or

Perhaps someone was saying he is a "Beaut" (as in a Beauty) ? And there was some sort of typo! ???

Or

:rubchin: :rubchin: :rubchin: Uhhhmmmm!

I dunno ain't got a Scooby.

BUT!!! I just hope that just because he shares the name Vieira ( An Absolute Arsenal Fucking Legend) that people are not too quick to expect the same level of "Legendary" Wonderfulness and are not too quick to judge etc!

The least we can do is give the kid a chance!

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Vieira Whoa a Whoa Ohhhh!

Vieira Whoa a Whoa Ohhhh!

He's our latest signing

Let's give him time to settle in!

In Vieira, we seem to have signed a player without having a specific plan or role for him in the squad. It's totally random and for me, not a great recruitment strategy. I think someone mentioned it was cover for ESR, but that doesn't seem clear as they both played in the u-21's the other night.

ESR or Odegaard replacement, but seeing as ESR doesn’t get in the first 11 at the moment they are both Odegaard replacements ?
Squad depth fine, guess maybe he could play on the right instead of Saka at a push.

We will see…..

Dunno Tom. Most of the time he was sideways on, so I couldn't see him. :D
