It's a sales pitch to the idiot fans. Keep repeating words like "project" and it gives the idea that we are moving towards an end result, but no end date is ever suggested. The idea is to lower expectations, something the club have been doing since the stadium move. Once you have bought into the idea that it's a project, you're less likely to expect success anytime soon, you'll be more patient and be prepared to wait for the project to reach it's conclusion...whenever the fuck that is, which they'll never tell us of course.
When you consider how we imploded last season, when twice during the final 2 months being in comfortable poll position for 4th place (and allowing the scum to get 4th, which was the worst part of it all), it's incredible how Arteta has walked away scot free and without having to answer any tough questions. Emery was sacked for less. However, people have bought the idea that we actually over-achieved and did well to stay in the hunt so long. Our supporters are clowns and the club plays them and takes then for the mugs they are. Still, have faith in the project chaps.

Presumably the agreement over a package is that we've agreed to send them a package of board games from Amazon or some clothes from Zalando. In terms of buying a player off them, we're probably nowhere near agreeing anything.
Damned if one does, damned if one doesn't. The club gets criticised for submitting bids below the asking price, yet when we do submit an acceptable bid it is deemed as overpaying.
We paid 45 million for a 25 yr old PL proven striker, Sterling who is 2 years older is going to Chelsea for around the same price.
30 million for a quality PL proven CM like Tielemans seems like a bargain. Kalvin Phillips went to city for 40 million +.
