If as owners you were serious about titles and challenges there is no way in hell you would employ an absolute novice and then extend his contract when he failed to deliver.
You mean like Sean McVay at the LA Rams?

:D

Ok, but has McVay failed to deliver? Big difference.

Lowers the expectations……

Justifies not spending…..
Is there really a lower of expectations?

I would have thought that most would consider a club of our size should be doing a lot better than it is (I'd imagine utd would feel the same about their club).

As for the not spending, did we not spend the most last summer? The problem isn't necessarily how much we spend, it is that we're not buying the quality required to move us forward.

I would prefer we buy one or two outstanding players than 4 or 5 average ones.

That's the point we're making...that we shouldn't allow the club to lower expectations, but they've been doing so for well over 10 years and our muppet supporters keep buying it.

As for money being spent, Stuart is right that for years under Wenger we under-invested and got a barrage of bollocks for doing so. Eg. we make stars we don't buy them, it's financial fair play that will correct things ( ), project youth, we work 24 hours a day but only look for "super top quality", blah blah blah.

Then in recent years, we have spent plenty and are entitled to expect success, but we're now sold "the process" bullshit. Hard to criticise the Kroenkes for the money they've allowed to be spent since they got full ownership, but they're fully responsible for the dysfunctional car crash nature of senior management in recent years and above all, for the appointment of a novice who is way out of his depth.

If he was prepared to be a squad player I’d keep him

But his previous outburst of “I just want to play foootball” or whatever his quote was makes it seem unlikely.

Surely Newcastle can be lured in for £15m ?

And for some reason whenever they went out for a meal they all sat on the 1 side of the table

We'd only want eleven of them though - one's a bit unreliable.

Fulham set to sign Bernd Leno from Arsenal. £10million up front fee.

Done deal pending medicals and formalities. Set to be confirmed in the coming days. Leno wanted to stay in London but play more regularly, so a starting spot at Fulham represented a good opportunity. #FFC #AFC

The Kante links are a sure sign that it’s the beginning of the end for you know who that’s been accused of you know what.
