wouldnt be surprised if Auba is frozen out by any incoming manager.

he is clearly past it and I am sure he wont be too bothered at Chelsea to do much.

Brighton have already given the chavs permission to speak to Potter so that's that then.

Was just thinking the exact same thing. It's all well and good to be punching above your weight at Brighton but the chavs will fucking eat him up and spit him out and I'm all for it 8)

Those players will down tools on him before the season is out, guaranteed.

WOWSA!!! Just saw the news about Tuchel the kiddy fiddler (allegedly  ).

Must admit I am surprised I thought they would give him 3 - 4 more Prem games before pulling the plug on him.

Can't remember which thread it was on but only yesterday a couple of peeps were saying how well Potter had done with Brighton and now the ChavScum are in for him ... They'll fucking ruin him (the snowflake egotistic players etc) - it is 100 days of the new owner being in charge and they dump their manager

:rubchin:

Maybe they'll take Arteta off our hands? and we can go for Potter.

Wonder what will happen to Brighton now?

BBC:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62824405

Chelsea are set to hold talks with Brighton boss Graham Potter about replacing the sacked Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel, who won three trophies in 20 months at Stamford Bridge, was sacked by the Blues on Wednesday.

Ex-Swansea and Ostersunds FK coach Potter, 47, has been given permission by the Seagulls to talk with Chelsea.

Tuchel was dismissed after losing the confidence of Chelsea's players and the new ownership, who took over at the club in May.

Potter, who has been tipped as a future England boss, has led Brighton to fourth in the table this season after winning four and drawing one of their six Premier League games.

He was appointed in May 2019 and has led the club to 15th, 16th and ninth-place finishes in his three seasons in charge.

But his brand of attacking and tactically flexible football has led to many admirers in the game.

Would you leave a club on the up to take an 18 month tenure at Chelsea . Potter doesn't strike me for a man that's chasing money.

Possibly a healthy dose of naivety on my part but I don't think he'll take it.

Think you may be right there Rodders, Honesty & Integrity and the Chavs don't go together

As OBG says, it was only yesterday that SteveO and I were saying how we rated Potter for the job he's doing at Brighton. It will be a shame if he leaves, because he has them punching way above their weight and it won't be easy for them to find another bloke capable of that.

He'll take it if offered Rodders, I'm sure. I don't know the average life span of Chav managers since Abramovich bought them, but I'm guessing at about 2 years max. That may be set to continue under Boehly, but to turn down a move from Brighton to manage one of Europe's big clubs (however much we don't like to admit it) takes some doing. He'll earn a fortune and any severance will also be huge.

All that said, I hope you're right. As others have said, I'd have him to replace Lego Head tomorrow. Mind you, I'd take Tuchel at the drop of a hat too.

If Potter goes to the Chavs, two things will happen, he'll be sacked inside 18 months and Brighton will be fighting relegation next season.
Potter is a fantastic coach and is excellent at getting lesser players up a couple of levels. Managing the egos at Chelsea is a totally different thing and he may really struggle.

Either way, I love to see those c.unts struggle, the new owner is spunking money like Roddaz with a naked Nat sitting on his lap........
