Tierney getting crocked absolutely fucked us in the run in last season and along with the Partey injury at the same time was the one of the main reasons we missed out on top 4.
I think that’s when the manager decided to move on from him as first choice, he just cannot be relied upon to play week in week out. Him playing 90 minutes Thursday/Sunday is a ticking time bomb.
Having said that neither can Tomi or Zinchenko who’ve occupied that position this season

Yeah he doesn’t seem to have much confidence in Tierney.
Having said that the plan would have been to start tomiyasu today before he got injured. Tierney played Thursday night and seemed to pick up a slight knock. Zinchenko clearly won’t be match fit but hopefully manages ok today, Tierney will feature at some point
