usual thread starter… Hleb’s quotes about Wenger and Cesc were undoubtedly both translated and used out of context in their reproduction. But there’s no denying he is angling for a move. With two years left on his contract and little indication he wants to extend it, Arsenal’s problem is that interest from the clubs prepared to pay more than they did for him in 2005 has cooled. Wenger has said he doesn’t want the team to break up, and he may well get his way if Arsenal play hardball.
Do you think they should take less than £10million for Hleb now or keep him for another season and allow his value to decrease even more?

Although it appears some of the remarks he made have been taken out of context I did not see any denial that he asked to leave last year.
For that reason we have to sell as if he is that unhappy at Arsenal then he is highly unlikely to make a positive impact.
As you have said Ed in other threads the real transfer business has not yet started and I do believe there will be more takers for his "services" once they have their pockets lined from selling others.
He has to go now! Even our beloved chairman has said he is going so it is extremely hard to make a u-turn.
In all sincerity I never expected us to get above £12 million for him anyhow so £10 million is about spot on as far as I am concerned.
Shuffle him out of the club as quickly as possible and use the money on someone that does wnat to be here.
Let's be honest............his contribution will not be impossible to replace hey!

i don't have time to read private eye. wish i did. apologies. suspect 90% of our website readers don't either. made me chuckle, so i posted it in good faith. bit of humour to get a new take on the endless repetition of this story was my reasoning.
