Coaching staff at AFC
Have been taking more and more notice of Mikel’s coaching team recently as they appear as excited as he does when we score a goal.
Have to confess, I’ve had to look them up as I couldn’t reel the names off without doing so.
Back in the day we had the likes of Georgie Armstrong and Theo Foley, Bob Wilson coaching the keepers, but these guys were all unknown to me

STEVE ROUND ASSISTANT MANAGER - Worked with Arteta the player when he was a coach at Everton. Has also coached with Manchester United and England and was Director of Football at Aston Villa for two years.
ALBERT STUIVENBERG ASSISTANT MANAGER -Was number two to Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United and also managed Genk in Belgium. Was working for Wales alongside manager Ryan Giggs until the end of Euro 2020.
GOALKEEPER COACH
INAKI CANA PAVON - Joined from Brentford, where he had worked since the summer of 2018, in December 2019. Prior to the Bees, he was with FC Nordsjælland in Denmark.
ASSISTANT
MIGUEL MOLINA - Hired from Atletico Madrid. An expert at integrating the physical and mental elements of the game into training sessions.
ASSISTANT
CARLOS CUESTA - Only 25, but already a Uefa Pro Licence holder who has worked for Atletico Madrid and Juventus. Got to know Arteta during a study visit with Manchester City in August 2018.
SET PIECE SPECIALIST
NICOLAS JOVER - Joined Arsenal in July 2021, replacing Andreas Georgson. Had spent the previous two seasons at Manchester City and made a big impact as their first set piece coach. Previously worked for Brentford, Croatia and Montpellier.
Most are Spanish, so Arteta has a connection there, but as a new coach / manager it must be difficult to recruit guys that you need to build on your area’s of weakness. It appears to be working, although none of the above mentioned were “Arsenal men” in the same vein as Freddie, Per, Jack, Edu holding down roles at the club.
There has been talk of Santi returning at some point in the future in a coaching role, something I would love to see.
Any thoughts from you lot?

He wanted to come back to us, but Wenger didn't want him back, so went to the chavs. Of course, the Old Fraud was right, because he had such an abundance of riches at his disposal.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:47 pmFuck him. I loved Cesc and would happily see him back and coaching.

Fantastic footballer. Wenger blew two potential title winning opportunities. He should have built title winning teams around Fabregas and then later Ozil.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 12:24 pmHe wanted to come back to us, but Wenger didn't want him back, so went to the chavs. Of course, the Old Fraud was right, because he had such an abundance of riches at his disposal.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:47 pmFuck him. But Fabregas is a cùnt of a person. Threatened to go on strike to get his dream move to the whores (where he barely made a dent), all that shit about hating the chavs and being an Arsenal man, and then goes to the chavs? Fuck him. Great player, but a rat cùnt.

He also had no problem acted the wee *word censored* waving imaginary cards in the refs face trying to get our players booked
