Do we need to sign him to push on our title challenge?

Do we trust Martinez-Lite's judgement that this is the player to do that?

Do we have that kind of money available?

If all three answers are "yes" then stop fucking around and pay the asking price.

If there are one or more "no"'s in there then move on to another target.

Little clubs very seldom just give their best or most wanted players away to big clubs for low offers any more. Those days are all but gone.

Because Mudryk is very inexperienced at the top level it makes sense to increase the add-ons not the base price. I don't believe the Chavs really want him but they can see us having to pay more if they are'interested'.
Make a 70m final offer, 50m + 20m add-ons and tell them they have 24hrs to make a decision yes or no, or we pull the offer and go elsewhere, two can play at their bullshit game.

AS understand it, we have bid in the region of £60-62M, they value him at £88M, immaterial of our thoughts on his worth that is a hug gap. None of us would be happy with us selling Martinelli or Saka for 25% less than we thought he was worth (immaterial of real worth) so i can understand Shaktar's reluctance.

If our club/Edu/Arteta think he is what we need and are serious then they need to significantly up the bid, if they are not willing to pay then scrap the deal and move on, we must strengthen this window if they are serious about the league.

Much as I would love Mudryk joining us ( we absolutely need someone wide / up front ) what if paying above what we have already offered means we don’t get in any other player in this window ?
