We could probably lose every game from here on 3-0 and still get in the Champions League next year. Brentford unbeaten in 11 and also looked quite shit. No good teams this year.

Just not good enough, and certainly not good enough to be champions. Arteta is lost because he doesn't have anything else to offer, just try to get Saka and Martinelli to do the job and if they don't, we don't have a clue. The team should have been changed after last week, Ben White is badly off form, Martinelli has been lacking, Xhaka has been very poor.......and still he leaves it exactly the same. Aside from City and maybe one or two other 'top' teams, everyone will play the same against us and we won't have a clue. Very fucking depressing.

One way of looking at it is this - during the invincibles season there were plenty of scrappy draws like that one.

City will be all over us on Wednesday. This lot have run out of steam and momentum. Needed world class signings in January, didn't get them. Just like those years when we should have won the league in 2008 and 2010. Draws when we should have won, dropping points needlessly from February onwards, no threat up front and a hundred passes on the edge of the box. We've seen it before.

Since the invincibles we haven't had one squad that didn't contain at least one coward, we have a whole bunch of them in this squad. We'll get destroyed on Wednesday and be behind on goal difference. Then it's up to Villa Park for the full implosion to be complete.

Didn’t deserve to win, lucky not to be behind by a goal a or more.

Didn’t win hardly any first balls and very few seconds balls, no pace, no penetration.

We seem to not be as physical as we were in the first part of the season ? I know we have had the same starting 11 for much of it, maybe tiredness or complacent for their place ?

Not sure why from goal kicks and the like we play a high ball to Saka, who is hardly renowned for his ariel prowess

And our throw ins still are shit, like schoolboy stuff we throw it down the line for a 50/ 50 header far too often.

After 2 very flat performances, need to change it up for City.

It’s not a must win game, but it’s certainly must not lose.

To be fair though, when decent top level sides decide to play out the last 10-15 with a ten man defence there’s not much you can do in that timeframe unless you have a Bergkamp/Messi level player to unlock things. Every team struggles and usually fails to break it down. Having a significant aerial threat isn’t a guarantee of a breakthrough either as he’ll still get crowded out in the mass of bodies. The only real solution, especially at home, is to be winning as you go into the last 15. That’s what fucked us up today.
