Unsung Heroes

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yaya Sanogo.
Never received the credit he deserved as a postman.
That’s probably because he was meant to deliver it
Dropped it, fell over it and in the end missed the house entirely.

Brian Marwood with his pinpoint crosses and a good finisher.
You beat me to it he was a very good player. Ian Allinson for his goal and assist against the Spuds in the famous 1987 semi final win.

I think it was the cup semi final against Wigan when we were one down with time running out and the tension and tempers rising when he went clean through but managed to get the ball stuck between his feet and then ended up running off away from the goal sideways. I just remember thinking, fucking hell, it's come to this.

I remember there being a scramble in their penalty area and the b all fell in front of him he swung at it missed and kicked one of their defenders....

He was Physically Dyslexic. Makes me shudder just to think of him in an Arsenal shirt.

Loved singing that song, which we got him a few years younger.
