Welcome Aaron Ramsdale

This thread is truly comical. In the Villa, Bournemouth, and yesterdays game now yesterday there were saves that Ramsdale made that either kept us in the game or won the points.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peI_IuJ ... erentKnock

Good technical analysis here.

Think it's time to close the thread!

The same applies with Xhaka, who has consistently been one of our best players this season. He has totally re-invented himself in the number 8. No silly tackles, no yellow/red cards. Just solid all-round performances with goals/assists now added to his game.
Either that or just change the Thread Title to something more positive.... :rubchin:

How about

"Welcome Aaron Ramsdale"

You know the usual and regular kind of title for one of our players...

But that is never going to happen because Retro Gunner has his Ego to consider.

OneBard and Nutty, lads this is not the third reich here chaps. Members can post anything they want within the forum rules. Retro posted a thread to encourage discussion about Ramsdale. There has been quite a decent discussion with some good comments and observations. I don't see anything wrong in that.

As for Nutty's comment on Lobotomy Clive..... no. He hasn't. He's been different shades of shit and average for most of the season. Yesterday was probably his best game for Arsenal in 4 years and being honest he was just above average, not brilliant, but certainly better than he has been. And credit to him for that.

I've said it so many times. Lobotomy Clive plays shit for game after game and the Clive fan club don't post on here. Not a peep. And then he has one good game (not brilliant mind, just good, where he actually did the bare minimum that he should be doing every game) and you guys reappear with "he's been one of our best players" and "he had a great game". This is how low the bar has been set for this guy. :|

It's something I'll never understand. You guys are quick to question the loyalty and validity of a fellow supporter for questioning a player's ability, but seem to have no problem heaping undeserved praise on a bloke that as OUR CAPTAIN threw his Arsenal jersey to the ground, told his clubs fans to fuck off and then as a rich privileged white footballer, dropped the race card on those same fans. :censored:

Not looking to provoke a row here but honestly I should ban you all. But I won't, because this is not the third reich.

Honestly, its impossible to debate with some Arsenal fans, not one Gooner is happy with what Xhaka did against Palace, but to say he hasn't contributed to the team in a big way this season, is just soo far wrong it's not even worth debating.

And the close thread comment was more tongue in cheek tbh.

Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale has kept nine clean sheets away from home in the Premier League this season. Only two keepers have recorded 10 or more shutouts on the road in a single campaign - Petr Cech (11 in 2004-05, 10 in 2008-09) and Ederson (11 in 2018-19, 10 in 2021-22).

Make it 10 clean sheets this weekend, equal it against the Shammers next week and then break it at the Emptyhad please! 8)

Make no mistake, I'd be the first one cheering if that happened. In fact, my ego would insist that I was the first....something like that anyway.

Unfortunately, I have a nagging feeling that Rob Holding might have something to say about achieving that record. :|

Have to say this. Ramsdale made two world class saves at the end of the game that literally kept us in the title race.

Performance of the season today. To do that in front of the Kop under siege all game with an absent midfield and shaky defence takes some doing. Take a bow son - different class today
