David Rocastle - Gone but never forgotten - 31 March 2001

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There's another timeline where he's at every game we play and on the bench like Pat Rice used to be. There's the timeline where he's in those photos of us winning titles in 2002 and 2004 as a member of staff, wearing a suit and tie and looking like a male model like he always did. There's the timeline where he's on TV and radio most weeks discussing football and always loving us. Then there's that timeline where he and Wrighty have a podcast or a radio show or a YouTube channel or whatever these days and we all watch and every week we just fall in love all over again.
Those timelines are out there somewhere, in our heads and dreams and hearts. That man, honestly, that man and what he meant to us. He was pure and beautiful and wonderul and he deserved longer because you know what, he would have made the world better in every way.
Amen 🙏 to that Perry

Don't post on here much anymore but what a player he was for us.

GG always remembers he was called in told we had agreed a fee with Leeds 2m iirc? He burst into tears, just did what we all dreamed of doing playing for Arsenal and gave 100% every time he pulled on the shirt and with skill and real will to win.

I posted earlier in the thread I was at the replay 87 and he scored the goal that got us to Wembley and being at the final also and winning, he really helped put us back on the map.

Lovely tribute yesterday by both Arsenal and Leeds and his name being sung also, RIP Rocky, super player, lovely man, gone but never forgotten :barscarf:
