Away Boyz Albums

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Aren’t the Away Boyz a relic of the Wenger era? The musical equivalent of Bendtner. Legends in their own minds. Apart from the odd NLD winner.

I have a couple of their albums bought near the plimsoll back in the day. They made 12 between 2005 and 2015.

Both of us, I think.

My problem was that before one NLD we were in the Gunners and there was a really good sing song going on with our fans. There was a great buzz and a brilliant pub before football atmosphere building.

And then the Away Boyz started playing and I don't know if they just had a bad day or are just a bad band, but they sounded awful and killed the atmosphere. :x

Of course it might also have been the acoustics in the pub. I remember some gigs my old metal band played and we came off stage saying to each other "well that sounded shit." And we were a decent enough band. We could all play and the singer - whilst not being mega talented - could sing. We had decent amps and sound system and put everything through a mixing desk so our levels were usually good.

Anyway, no offence to the band but I had a bad experience with them!
