Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There is a 7v7 tournament on at the moment.

Lee Trundle is playing for Wrexham and they beat the US national women’s team 8-1.

It is, of course, all down to the fact that they don't get paid the same money as men.

And when the women's game brings in the same money, we can have that argument.

Otherwise you're either making the game unsustainable or harming the men's team by taking money away from them.

Prizes for all. Reiss Nelson has won " Gamechanger of the Season award".

Back in the 1970s there was the Football Writers Player of the Year and that was it. Nowadays there is also the Professional Footballers' Association's Players' Player of the Year award , Fans' Player of the Year award, the Young Player of the Year award, the Premier League Player of the Season award, the Football Supporter Association Player of the Year, and the Football Supporters' Federation Player of the Year award. Hopefully Haaland gets exhausted attending them all.

Yep. Women's football will end up going bust in a few years. Paying professionals each month when you don't generate any real income of your own is ludicrous.

Except it won’t, as the female side will be fully subsidised by the mens team.
Arsenal bid £500k for one of the Man Utd women, in the last transfer window - Where was that going to come from ?

Yeah, good point. They can't let it fail because it's terrible PR.

Ange Postecoglu has promised to bring Champions League football to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He aims to have BT Sport installed by September.

I honestly did not think it was possible to leave celtic and go to a PL club and have it be taking a step down in your career but fuck me if old Ange Dickheadson hasn't fucking gone and done it!

The "opening ceremony" at the CL!!

It's not the fucking Olympics and literally nobody there or watching on TV over the age of 10 wants to see some no marks prancing around on stage beforehand. Fuck off!

The whole lot is fucked after tonight

It's all modern football bollocks

Just really don't see the point anymore

All i do hope is that someone from UEFA admits defeat today and picks up every written piece of FFP law from its archives and sticks it on a big bonfire given its effectiveness

We just need PSG to win it now to go alongside Chavski and City to finally ridicule that pathetic 20 year nonsense about FFP

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... r-33-years

The old biased *word censored* has finally fucked off.

Sky always going on about that Aguero commentary. It was fucking shite.

Everyone of us as kids playing football were self commentating like that. Absolutely nothing original or iconic about it
