|| Agreement already between Leverkusen and Xhaka, but Arsenal want to sign a replacement first. Things may accelerate next week after the EUCL/UCL finals. Arteta wants Rice and Gundogan. Talks with them will continue after the finals [Via - @Kicker].

Why on God's earth would City let Gundogan go? Their captain and one of their most influential players - won them the cup final and were it not for his heroics at Goodison, we may have had the league go on another week or so.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 2:45 pm|| Agreement already between Leverkusen and Xhaka, but Arsenal want to sign a replacement first. Can't understand why they wouldn't want to extend his stay there?

He’s out of contract this summer. He wants a three year contract. They don’t want to go that long.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 6:10 pmWhy on God's earth would City let Gundogan go? Quite right too. He might be good for one more season but will start to lose pace and be less sharp as he gets older. He's 32 now and has already peaked. A great player without shadow of a doubt but is reaching the end of his footballing career.BobbyPires7 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 7:07 pmHe’s out of contract this summer. Why on earth would we be interested then? Are we going to wedge the bloke up until he's 35, Willian style !BobbyPires7 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 7:07 pmHe’s out of contract this summer. If we sit back and watch this happening, then someone (edu or basque fool) needs to get their P45 asap

A transfer release clause of £55m ???? We should be all over that NOW !!! We are being suckered into spending massive money on rice and/or caciedo , but imo McAllister would be a far better signing and at that price it is a no brainer

Let them have MacAllister, we'll take AoC back
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Does seem odd that no other big club would be in for him if he's available at a good price.augie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 11:45 amIf we sit back and watch this happening, then someone (edu or basque fool) needs to get their P45 asap

If we get Rice and Caicedo fine but knowing us we'll get only 1 at best and wouldn't be surprised if we got neither.
It's early days of course but we all know how the club operate.. always at least 2 players short of a league winning team.

William Saliba’s contract talks with Arsenal “progressing well” and currently viewed as one of the club’s top priorities.
Currently no worries about the possibility of Saliba leaving. Both Saliba himself and his agent have communicated his desire to commit to #AFC long term.
