Bullshit bingo well under way this transfer window.

We will sign over-rated donkeys. Just be patient.

3 to 5 won’t be signing for us. Just signing on at the DSS.

Augie, I fully expected someone to mention Rodri. He's superb but actually I think he's much more than a defensive midfielder, he's a bit like Partey.... Only better and not injury prone! I'd call him a midfield general not just a DM.

Casemiro? We all have opinions but I disagree totally. Fat and past his best, should have had several red cards last season and got away with a few. He doesn't appear in the top 5 in defensive stats for last season. Rice tops two
Good player but not in the top two in the PL, no way.

The chavs are apparently looking to complete a quick sale

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22747789 ... act-offer/

Of course they are - "lets get this done quickly in case anyone with half a brain at AFC realises that we are screwing them and they are buying a dud for big money"

This basque c.unt has signed TWENTY FIVE players since he became AFC manager, and I dont think that you can hold even one of them as a major success - seems like him and arteta are learning nothing and are going to continue pissing money away this summer. In 3 years at the club I make it 9 players that he has signed and are already left the club - that is a staggering figure imo. For years now our board and owners have rightfully received loads of stick for insufficient investment in the playing squad, but right now serious questions need to be asked as to why no-one in the board is standing up and stopping this havertz deal - I dont want us to buy rice either but I can at least see why some are blinded to the folly of buying declan rice, but surely there is no-one that watches english football who cannot see what a totally ridiculous and braindead signing havertz would be ?? If we sign havertz then we deserve the serious decline that we will suffer next season
Good signings off the top of my head under Arteta :-

Gabriel
Ode
White
Ramsdale
Partey
Zinc
Jesus
Tomi
Trossard

First two, yeah ok.

Next three, not really. All bang average.

Next two, jury out imo.

Last two, hmm, maybe. Tomi struggling but I'm not anti and no problem with Trossard.

All in all, not much to shout about given the money spent.

Arteta wants up to £200m of business done before summer tour, with the club aiming to sign Havertz, Rice, Timber and Lavia. Some recouped through sales, Arsenal prepared to listen to offers on a few players including Nketiah. [@MiguelDelaney]

We were better with Nketiah. When Jesus came back we fell away.

This 100%. It's exactly as I see it.

I wouldn't pay more than 30-40 million for Rice and don't think he's anywhere near good enough to take us up a level, but that's my opinion and I can understand why many might rate him and think he's worth crazy money. However, as I keep saying, what are they basing their assessment of Havertz on? He's had 3 fucking years to prove himself and by any metric he's failed. He's clearly no goalscorer, which is what we desperately need and we certainly don't need another number 10 type. We've got Odgaard, ESR, Trossard and in my opinion Jesus (because he's not a prolific striker), so why would we buy Havertz, even if he were any good?

We desperately need two top quality centre mids and a goalscoring striker.

Btw, I'm starting to get a very nasty feeling that Xhaka might still be here next season. If Partey goes, they'll make an extra effort to keep the clown. :worried:

EXC 🚨 Arsenal are on the verge of completing the signing of youngster Pedrinho from Corinthians. Corinthians' president Monteiro A. met with Arsenal's sporting director Edu yesterday to discuss a move involving the 17yo. There is a £43m release clause in his contract. #AFC 🔴

Understand Arsenal are advancing in talks to sign Roméo Lavia. Negotiations ongoing with Southampton and player’s camp, still no official bid ⚪️🔴 #AFC

Southampton hope for their record fee for U21 player.

Man Utd interested but priority is Mount; Chelsea, keeping close eye.

I wonder where we'll stick him out on loan for the next 4 years, so that he feels completely unwanted, gets pissed off and looks for a move?

🚨 Arsenal have now made a 2nd, improved offer to West Ham for Declan Rice. £75m + £15m add-ons. Club-record proposal for 24yo England midfielder expected to be turned down by #WHUFC - but #AFC getting closer to acceptable fee for top target @TheAthleticFC

It only took 5 days to come up with a bid the whole world knows (with the exception of the Arsenal board) will be turned down.

He's going to City, isn't he.

City won't buy Rice, he's nowhere near good enough to get in that team. He'd be a bench warmer with the odd run out in the League Cup and in games against PL strugglers. His lack of technical ability would be shown up in no time at City.

If they wanted him they'd have got him already. No need to sit and watch us embarrassing ourselves as usual with incremental bids.

I watched most of the jocks game against norway last Saturday, and it was basically the same shite from odeargod as I seen weekly with AFC ...... take 20 touches instead of moving the ball faster  Given how the media very openly questioned citys tactics early in the season for not maximising haaland by getting the ball to him quicker, I was shocked that the norway manager and coaching team did not bollock odeargod and fix that problem cos it allowed mediocre scottish centre backs (R Porteous and Hendry) to totally nullify the best striker in the world  Odeargod is bang average against good teams, and would not have lasted 5 mins on our 2002-2004 team because the likes of henry and pires lived on early ball

🚨Arsenal make improved verbal offer of £60million for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz. Guaranteed £55m. Broad agreement on personal terms have been reached. Story:
Meanwhile Chelsea announce the signing of a genuine goal scorer for 52mil

This says it all. Chelsea spending less on a striker than we're likely to pay for the failure they're getting shot of. You couldn't make it up. Still, at least our payment will help them buy Caicedo. Good old Arsenal.
