Chavs FB A Saturday 21st October KO 1730

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Our best 11 ….

Which is what ?

Well, let's put it this way.....I'll be bringing me boots.

Are you the tea lady you were talking about in a previous post ?

I was going to say “banging on about “ but fear that would be taken the wrong way

Don’t forget your rolled up newspapers for your shin pads too
Sighhhhhhhh those were the days and then when it rained they went all soggy.

Also remember to take an extra jumper for the goal posts.... Where is he by the way haven't seen him for yonks.

Very actively involved in the Wenger out campaign and then suddenly disappeared, from memory before we'd finished with all that. Neither myself nor xistential...now Reno...could get an answer from him in phone calls or texts. Complete radio silence. He was a nice guy and I hope he's ok.
Ah, didn’t realise Chris (Xistential ) was Reno

I guess being in the clique has it’s benefits

Stu, I'm not even in the clique in my own house. My wife and daughters seem to keep me nicely sidelined unless, of course, my help is required.

Reno was having trouble logging onto the forum as xistential...I think DB had deliberately blocked him  ....so set up a new log in as Reno.

I met him on two of the "Wenger Out" protests on the second he brought his young son ( a Gooner) and they had made / printed a couple of Large Wenger Out banners; one of which he gave to Sean & Myself to carry, as you say a Nice Guy. Also met Clash (Nice bloke) that same day it was great to be able to put faces to names etc.

Yes, I remember him bringing his boy and those banners he had. He was fervently anti Wenger and was always up for getting a demo arranged, but then suddenly disappeared. Sean was a really nice bloke too and was a good poster on here. He would also do those post match summaries on the match threads, which were always accurate and never seemed to bore anyone, even though we'd all seen the game. He made good critical analyses of the Old Fraud...which I think may have been a phrase that he invented. Sean appeared on here briefly a few weeks ago, but not since.

I didn't meet Clash, but I miss him on here. He also used to make very good posts and had a sensible, balanced view. Shame the number of good posters that no longer come on here...I wonder if they still read the forum? Not if they've got any sense I suppose!

It all added a bit of colour and fun to the place. It's probably why I enjoy this place the most when things are going wrong on the pitch and the forum lights up in fury and the gallows humour starts to roll.

It kept me going through the dark and interminable years of Wenger, when the joy had gone out of the game for Gooners and when I doubted that I could ever feel the old passion again. To be honest, even though last season saw a reignition, it isn't yet like the feeling of old.

Excited for this one! For all we haven’t hit top gear this season there’s no doubt we are much more competitive in the “top 6” games.

Arteta does a lot wrong in my book with team selections and isolating players I feel should get much more game time etc but there’s no doubt he has significantly improved our record in big games over the last couple seasons so massive credit for that IMO.

Our top 6 record especially away for years was absolutely pathetic.

Also speaking of old posters I thought Northbank123 was absolutely brilliant but haven’t seen his name pop up for a while!
