Yet somehow he’s Englands top scorer.
It helps when England get drawn against the likes of San Marino and The Peoples Republic of Fuckingnowheresville in qualifying and that Nations League bollocks.

apart from the obvious that Kane is a waste of. space , England have some good players but no organisation .
The midfield gets caught out too often doesnt move like unit , gets individuals drawn out of position and leave space behind which means that we play with a back 5 and a great gap in the middle with a dustbin up front. When we
Bring on Watkins and Palmer and suddenly theres movement , Palmer plays Saka who finds Bellingham the ball goes back to Palmer and we are level .
Too bloody simple . Lets hope its the end for Southgate , Kane and Walker . Time to rethink.

Lineker was spot on.... It was a victory for attacking football.
Southgate is a poor manager who manages to make some of the best attacking players in the world look average.

The best team in the tournament won it and deservedly so.England made it through the easier side of the draw, not playing anywhere near as well as they are capable of.As has been said above that's down to Southgate.

One of my buddies over here said on our group chat last night that the bbc threw southgate under the bus in their post match analysis - any truth to that ? Like everyone else, I couldnt understand how kane lasted as long as he did, and personally I would have subbed foden way earlier too, but tbf spain have probably been the best team throughout the tournament, albeit it was a very poor tournament

Was it just me or was this a really low scoring tournament? All just seemed a bit low key and meh. Is that because of the relative dearth of good strikers these days?
And wondergoals? Yamal's and the Turkish lad's were decent. That was about it. (I don't count Bellingham's because it bounced before it went in and that always looks shit).

Sure felt a bit meh alright.

I'd probably add Saka's goal to the list tbh. Lovely strike.

As for the game itself, all the above posters nailed it I think. Spain were just a better team and Borat Features being a bit clueless in general and playing the lump up front too long again all contributed to Spain winning it.

Whilst I hate Spanish football and would be no fan of their national team, they were probably the best team in it.

Sky are fast becoming insufferable c.unts - just watched a few mins of ssn and basically england didnt win cos they have been fighting injury and fitness issues throughout the tournament  I'm sorry but that is total dogshite - southgate picked one left back and he hadnt played a club game since february so whose fault is that, and then he stubbornly refused to change his starting line up fcuk all so any fatigue is self induced imo. I remember when the squad was announced there was a lot of hoopla about the fact that southgate's squad had so many attacking players in it and that it was a sign that he was "going for it" - that belief aged well didnt it ? Reality is that it doesnt matter how many attacking players he brought if he wasnt going to use them - the likes of gordon and eze should have got more gametime for example and that would have rested some of the players who started last night, so that too is on southgate.
Sky also going on about southgate not understanding why he was criticised during the tournament and he after getting them to a final - honestly there has never been an easier path to a euro final, so getting to that final with that squad could have been done with a pub team manager

Oh they certainly did.

I literally almost never watch SlySports if avoidable. Hate the pundits, hate the presenters, hate the so called "experts" they use. And particularly hate the fucking child assaulting filthy cùnt that is Spit the Scouse. :censored:
