Reports in recent days linking us with leroy sane again - I have to say, that I would rather give nelson a lucrative new contract than spend any money signing that arrogant lazy cock who is nowhere near the level he is made out to be

BBC:
Arsenal are prepared to offer English forward Eddie Nketiah, 25, as part of a swap deal with Crystal Palace for 24-year-old England defender Marc Guehi.
FFS! Are they deliberately trying to scupper the deal!?

Man has some neck to "demand" transfers - spent close to a billion and only trophy he has won he won with emery's team 4 years ago
Hilarious quote from the cone boy - “We will try our best but the main thing is to focus on falling in love with the players we have and make them better.”
This from a guy that buys so many players that he then moves on within 18-24 months so how is that tying in with loving the players he has ? Yes he has shown love for the likes of zinchenko, vieira, nketieh etc, but the likes of smith-rowe, lokongo, tavares etc are entitled to ask where was the love shown to them ? So far he has signed SIX keepers and is pushing to sign some nobody from wolves as his 7th, and that is shockingly high number of keepers signed in a short space of time

Are you sure he "demanded" more transfers? Maybe he was on the cusp of demanding more. The cusp seems to be his natural preferred location.augie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 7:36 amMan has some neck to "demand" transfers - spent close to a billion and only trophy he has won he won with emery's team 4 years ago![]()

See... I still think it was a typo along the line somewhere
and it was either Cups or Cun.ts
and was read as Cusp

I’d like to think (hope) that our willingness to part with Eddie “stealing a living” Nketiah suggests that Wengteta has plans to bring in a CF.
Experience tells me, on the other hand, that we’ll be looking at internal solutions and playing Zinchenko up top for the foreseeable.

Still a bit iffy about the Emirates Cup, to be honest.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I'm frightened to go to bed in case we sign another goal keeper.

BBC:
Arsenal are interested in Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, 22, and Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino, 28, but face competition from Barcelona for both Spanish internationals.
No shit sherlock!
I'm just hoping that Edu &Co are secretly negotiating for the Striker and Defensive Midfielder we so desperately need.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
All agreements now in place for Riccardo Calafiori to join Arsenal from Bologna.
The defender still needs to do medical + sign but deal essentially done.
Calafiori believes Arteta’s vision is the best step for his career, and is looking forward to playing in goal next season.*
