ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lazio have an obligation to buy Tavares if certain triggers are met, probably CL qualification I imagine?

Seville have an option to buy Lokonga for £10m and a 25% sell on fee I think

Looks like Zubimendi has blown out the Bindippers as well as us. The guy has no ambition whatsoever, just wants to stay at Sociedad!

Tbf to him they are his home town club and are in champions league this season too - yes people might say that they have no chance of winning it, but then again do we ? A lot is made of the greed of modern day footballers (and rightly so), but this guy i s putting his family and his own happiness over wealth and I wont knock him for it
It's quite refreshing to see.

The Liverpool supporters reactions are hilarious
Nearly as hilarious as the scum fans hating their possible new signing Dominic Solanke before he even plays because he admitted he was an Arsenal fan as a kid.
Haven't most of their player been Arsenal fans

No.

He runs around a lot though so gives the impression but technically crap and west ham level IMHO. Another Kalvin Phillips.

Panic over.
Just fleetingly saw that Arsenal had signed Rosa Kafaji on a long term contract .
A cheap typical Arsenal stop gap signing on a Chamakh level was my immediate thought until I realised they were talking about the 'ladies' kick ball league. Phew.
I do hear that there is a young goal scoring machine making his mark at Fulham though who surely should be of interest to to us.
Well done Mikel

Tbh Step, Rosa would probably be an upgrade on Havertz and Jesus in the men’s side.

As for ESR, I hope he has a glittering career that haunts Lego Head.

🚨 @gunnerblog:

Arsenal have yet to make an offer to Real Sociedad for Mikel Merino. 🇪🇸

The club is still considering moving forward with a deal that is likely to cost around €30m. 💭

Other reports are saying Sociedad want £29m for Merino, 28yo in the last year of his contract....I would hope we tell them where to stick that! 25m tops.

I've said before that I know fuck all about the bloke, other than a couple of cameos for Spain at the Euros, but is a 28 year old (which means he should be at the peak of his powers), who we value at 30 million or less and who flopped at Newcastle and Dortmund, really the upgrade we're looking for? Forgive me for harbouring doubts.

This stat is meaningless without providing additional information, such as over what period each spend covers, net or gross spend, ultimately focus should be on NET spend.

Not sure what point you are trying to make.

And Martinelli cost £6m, how did that work out.

Actually think I read once you said Martinelli should leave Arsenal in order to save his career, that statement hasn’t aged well.
