With the away credit system the way it currently is I don't see anyone (myself included) who is on 0 credits ever being able to buy an away ticket and get on the ladder. Last year a few fixtures went to 4+ or 2+ credits.
There won't be many people willing to transfer away tickets as they now lose that credit which means if you're not on the ladder you probably won't ever get on.
That said, if anyone has enough credits that they feel they can spare a couple for this season it would be greatly appreciated

I was thinking recently about that same thing and about how 20 odd years ago, I was in the Travel Club and got tickets to most away games that I could afford to get to. I remember the only tough ones to get were league games at manure away and the scum away. The rest were fairly gettable more often that not. I remember going to West Ham a few times, Newcastle, Villa, Sunderland, West Brom one Boxing Day, Leeds, cup tie at manure. It was around that time that they brought in that away season ticket and there was no way I could afford one and then further studying and jobs and family got in the way and by that time, I had fuck all in the way of credits and we reached the situation we've been in for about the last ten-15 years. It's funny to think that during the 2003-04 season, away tickets still weren't that impossible to get hold of as long as you'd managed to get a few credits on your account.
In July 1996 I went up to the Highbury Box Office and asked to buy two season tickets for the forthcoming season.
They couldn't have been more obliging and someone from the Box Office walked me round the stadium showing me the various pairs of seats which were available. I chose a pair with the best view, paid for them, and that was that.
Still got them. Well, a bit up the road anyway.
With the TX and Ticket Transfer systems in place, can't see that many people giving them up now.

just snapped one for £20. its a shame that no one values this competition anymore.
for me this match is far more important and interesting to go and watch than any of the Champions League group matches where prices will be probably about 4 times more expensive!! certainly not bothering to even try and go see one of those matches now that they have changed the format of the group stage.

Just got 2 tickets and I am/was on zero credits. Preston away and Inter Milan away. Absolutely buzzing for the Milan trip. It went down to silver members. The extra CL away game and big allocations helped. 4,500 for Milan.

That's a couple of gooduns I've entered the ballot for Manure at ours as I'm off the weds Thurs that week.I went onto the Preston site for a butchers and saw that they go on sale to all members who have registered before Sept 25th Missed a trick there as if I had known that I would've applied and just bunked into the home end.
