VAR

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So we get Gillett AGAIN.

Guess who’s reffing the city game this weekend? Yep you’re right. It’s Michael Oliver.

I've always tried to avoid conspiracy theories about anti Arsenal officiating etc, but something does seem off. However, if the club aren't prepared to make a stand over it, then it's on them as well as the League/PGMOL. A bully keeps hitting you and you don't hit back, then he's gonna just keep doing it. We could make a compilation video, as mentioned above and go to the PL with it. No need for a big song and dance involving the media and getting a points deduction or whatever, but a serious behind closed doors chat, warning them that we'll go public if the inconsistencies aren't explained to the club by the PGMOL.

If we're told to fuck off, then we threaten to go public with the grievances. Of course, it could be that we're doing this, but I very much doubt it.

He's not wrong but fucking hell, really, these people are in charge of football matches at the highest level in England and behave like this? Fucking hell. The state of these people and he won't be the only one. His ride on the gravy train is well and truly over and it's about time that the Premier League had refereeing taken off them and we had outside refs appointed from UEFA.

I suppose the problem is that the general standard is woeful but there are far too many referees in England who can't be trusted to be fair and have their own agendas. Dippers have had years of it going their way so can't moan at all but there is an issue with referee bias that has become more and more apparent with increased scrutiny and more cameras. Having referees from other countries means that they aren't living in areas where the teams they are reffing are playing. All of the refs for the last few years in the Premier League have come from the north of England. That can't be right and can't be fair in terms of bias and family connections to clubs.

Refs and VAR be falling over themselves to give the Scousers every decision now, even though they already protected enough.

Can't hurt their feelings too much now can we

Ref now denying it. All I can assume is that they'll have to let it go because they haven't got a camera angle to decide either way. Isn't that how it goes? Can't see if the ball was actually in or out or whether there was a push, just let the game go on as normal and not intervene. Don't want anyone spoiling the whole thing now, do we?

Referee Coote suspended amid Liverpool and Klopp video inquiry

Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended after a video allegedly showing him making derogatory comments about Liverpool and the club's former manager Jurgen Klopp was circulated on social media.
Refereeing body PGMOL says the suspension comes into force with immediate effect and is pending a full investigation.

The whole of the PGMOL need to be investigated, no doubt this will all be swept under the brown envelope pile in Webbs dungeon where he keeps DVD's of those wild parties in Saudi of Rent Boys blowing him.

Exactly.

That's why I cannot help but wonder about the timing of this.....the ScouseFilth 5 points clear of Cheaty; now there's a thing one never sees.

so now theyre so as brazen as to release the audio, and prove that at no time did any official make use of the overhead camera to track the ball trajectory, And if they had of they couldnt possibly have given a red as the balls headed for Ben White.

Put Simply they used the camera angles they needed to, to produce a red card and ignored any video evidence available that would interfere with that decision!

Sky showed the overhead view on the day and havent dared show it since!!

^^^This^^^100%

Webb the fucktardCunt always finds a way to Squirm their way out of an Obviously Wrong VAR/Ref Decision.... Each time theCunt does this it just re-affirms to me that PGMOL aka: DodgyCheatyCunts have an agenda and part of that agenda is some very sweet back handers from some global Betting Syndicate/s also it is just another opportunity for Webb&Co to say to Arteta after his "It's a Disgrace" comment last season to say

"Oi! Cone Boy (©Augie) Fuck-You!" and smile whilst doing so.

:cussing: :box:

edit: Also Saliba is no slouch and would easily have matches their player for pace...But for sure Benny Blanco (although injured would have caught him as well)
