ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not sure this is the right place for this and not sure I know how to attach links, but here goes. No surprise at all at the content of the article.

Absolute travesty.

Many here said it's OK he's never fit but he had f all chance to be

Will be at a big club in 2 years. If we had any sense we would have abuy back clause but the *word censored* in charge didn't like him so doubt we had such a basic clause when selling a talented youngish player.

Sickening.

Yep, I said that when he left….in a season or two he’ll be off to one of the big boys. Good luck to him. He was treated abysmally by Lego Head and I was saying for 18 months that he needed to leave because it was obvious he wasn’t in Arteta’s plans.

All that crap about being overweight, unfit and having a poor diet. I asked someone on here to verify that once and all they came up with was an article from when he was still in the youth team and saying that he’d improved since he improved his diet. No mention that it was a major thing or that he was getting heat from the club. It’s an urban myth. As for fitness, it’s fucking hard to get match fit if you never get a game.

We’ve let go of one of the best home grown talents I’ve seen and the best since Merson and before that, Brady imo. Please don’t anyone try to tell me that Fabregas was home grown.

I want to see ESR prove Arteta to have made a monumental fuck up, but it doesn’t stop me fucking fuming. We all saw how we missed Odegaard recently….well this boy has the ability to eclipse the Dane and we actually saw that 3 years ago. I always suspected that was why Lego Head kept him out of the team, seeing as Odegaard was a favourite and he had to justify buying him.

"Many"? I don't think so, mate. I think it was a minority of the couple of more vocal Arteta cultists that said that. My memory of it is most on here were rightly pissed off. Most of us also said at the time he would end up at a bigger club than Fulham within a couple of years or so. To retain the likes of Partey, Jesus, CliveChenko, and only loaning out but basically retaining Faux-Vieira, whilst getting rid of ESR was completely bonkers.

I don't know why? But I think Arteta will bring in 1 if not 2 players in the January window...We all know it is 'Rare' for a Major signing to happen, such as the much needed Striker we most definitely Need, but a winger who can play Left or Right flank.

Sadly I don't think he'll off-load the Deadwood: Jayzoos, Wankchenko, Tomiyasu & Tierney (latter Both perm-crocks) as we are already Paper-Thin..

But 2 players in-coming.

If I'm wrong. :-P
