As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Victims shit housing their way through the season. Only good thing about that is the correction is the inevitable and will come. Patience.
Long way to go, but barring a long term injury to Salah none of the chasing pack are good enough to render a 9 point swing.
Points on the board is where it’s at and obviously they have them but there’s a serious weighting with their total so far.
We’ve been to Villa, scum, chavs and city away. Even Bournemouth away is another tough assignment which we’ve had.
They’ve played none of those fixtures yet to the table isn’t fully reflective. I’d still be more worried about cheaty than victims.
Victims reminding me a lot of the scum last season who had a run of incredible luck shit housing results. Ange Mate was the second coming and they were going to conquer all before him.
What always happens in these situations though is the correction comes and you run out of road. Liverpool will crash and burn, it’s just a matter of when.
We’ve blown the league when we’ve had a nice lead, so the notion that this team is somehow capable of clawing back a large deficit is pretty fantastical. Liverpool look way too solid to suddenly collapse.
They've made heavy weather of bang average teams and got away with it time and again. That can't keep happening over the course of a season. None of their luvvies in the media call them out on it but they have a history of blowing up when things start going wrong and the pressure is on. One league title in 35 years doesn't lie.
But for them to blow it up when the pressure is one you need a strong challenger. City might get regain their mojo but I honestly just can’t see us going on the dozen game winning streak required to claw back those points. Liverpool just need to be “good enough” from here on and the title is theirs. Nine points is too much for us.

I think we've got a decent set of fixtures coming up and if we put a good run together we can put them under a bit of pressure, so too City who will get it right soon enough. Dippers have to play City home and away, Chavs away, Villa, Newcastle, scum away and they will drop points without a doubt. Nine can become six and then four very quickly. If City beat them next week, I'd honestly say we could be clawing them back in by the new year. Weren't they six or seven points ahead of us in January or something?
Look at it another way - we need to be on average 0.35 points per game better than them for the rest of the season. And obviously show up at Anfield with a massive performance which we literally never do. Not happening.
They have not convinced all season. Straight forward set of fixtures. Played all the on paper tough games at home apart from vs us. We should have beaten them. Does a title winner go away to a side who haven’t won all season and need two absolute howlers and an unforced handball to win? I don’t think so. They will have a bad run. We just need to win the games we should win and not drop any more silly points. I don’t think it’s over at all.
In my opinion, it's hard to say whether Liverpool will blow up or not. They aren't a great side and have been just getting by at times, but a winning mentality and a confidence sets in, as does a will not to lose.
What I do know, is that if they do fold, it won't be us that takes advantage, We've hardly been convincing so far and yesterday was what, the first win in 5 games? In my book, there's nothing to justify any belief that we can make up a nine point gap and will put together a winning run to capitalise on any stumble they might make.
The only side capable of catching them are City, because they will click into gear, but personally, I'd rather see the scousers win the title than the oil cheats.

Like Arsenal before they turned up at Birmingham in 2008…
How far were Arsenal behind Manchester United when they lost to Blackburn at home in December 1997? 10 points and won title with two games to spare.
Yeah I remember it and when you think how our team now would knock spots off that lot eh? I mean all we had was the likes of Seaman, Dixon, Winterburn, Bould, Adams, Vieira, Petit, Overmars, Bergkamp, Wright, Anelka.....oh, wait a minute..............

Yep, but the rest of my post went on to say that even if they do implode, it won't be us who takes advantage of it. That was the point.
