If I was a young player like him, alarm bells would be loudly ringing in my head about the fact that AFC keep losing their best young players to manure - I know it is slightly different if he is going straight into the first team squad (as rumoured), but losing young players to your rivals always looks bad cos it suggests that either we dont give young players a chance, or that we pay them a pittance

Seems all we've done this transfer window is ring people up for a chat rather than discuss buying them.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 10:33 amSverre Nypan now expected to stay at Rosenborg for rest of season. 18yo midfield talent pursued by Arsenal, Girona & others but no agreement struck for winter move. The saudi transfer window thing is doing my fcuking head in - google when does the saudi transfer window close and you will get a few links (not all) saying January 30th (yesterday), but there will be a few other links (not as many) including sky saying that it closes at 8.59pm tonight
Obviously as someone who would be happy to see us sign either watkins or duran this is catching my attention cos I am hoping that duran doesnt go to saudi
Btw osimhen scored again last night

No joke but apparently Willian is back in London to join a Premier League club.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Well, he's played for us, the Chavs and Fulham so that leaves Spurs, West Ham or Brentford. Am I forgetting someone else?Limerick Gooner wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 12:30 pmNo joke but apparently Willian is back in London to join a Premier League club.![]()

That’s 2 lads that have now left for united yeah? Odds that either of them go on to be any good are pretty slim I’d imagine. Arsenal is probably the best club to be at as an academy player in the premier league, Lewis Skelly and Nwaneri are testament to that with both having broken into the first team this season alone.augie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 10:57 ammcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 10:33 amSverre Nypan now expected to stay at Rosenborg for rest of season. 18yo midfield talent pursued by Arsenal, Girona & others but no agreement struck for winter move. Cheaty hit the skids this season, is the bald fraud looking at lads in their academy to come in and make a difference? Is he fuck. Straight out to spend a couple of hundred million on more players. What a genius.
Omari Hutchinson took the chav cash and flopped. Who else has gone anywhere and done anything.
We got decent money for Willock, Balogun, Eddie and ESR in recent seasons so the academy is finally returning on the investment after the banter years under Le Fraud.
Saka is the jewel in the crown, be great if the next one through was a striker too! Arsenal is the club any elite kid should be looking at getting into the academy at, there’s a clear pathway through to the first team if you’re good enough.

Can't agree on that one buddy. Chido is a good prospect but he's not even had a look in at United even with their shit attack. Ayden Heaven is 18 and hasn't had a look in with us, even when we were struggling with injuries. The cup game he played in I thought he looked very very average for a youngster, ie nothing stood out at all in fact he looked a bit dodgy to me. I don't think either of them will come to anything. Arsenal have been keeping their best youngsters...... Look at how many wanted Nwaneri. Utd can take our cast offs, well keep the cream like Ethan, MLS and Max Dowman!AFC keep losing their best young players to manure

So Arteta reckoned he could get away with it yet again when we had nobody up front? Did he honestly think hat Jesus was going to be good enough to win the league for us? Fucking ridiculous. Fucking hell. That in itself is fucking sackabale.
After Jesus himself got injured- three fucking weeks ago- he didn't have a fucking clue who to get in. Nobody, no fucking idea. Just goes back to a few names that we didn't get in last summer when we had the chance. It's fucking negligent, Wankeresque nonsense. Pure fucking 2008-18 shit. Scratching around making half-hearted attempts at impossible signings that the whole world knows won't happen. Then just looking at a list of players and asking "Do any of these support Arsenal?" It's fucking pathetic, directionless, mismanagement. Two years ago, this should have been sorted, last summer this should have been fixed and now after a whole fucking month of doing nothing, we're pretending that we're trying to get someone that we could have got for half the price three years ago. The fucking negligence, the sheer fucking stupidity and lack of ambition from someone whose only driving force should be to identify players that can improve the club and win trophies. It's shameful, absolutely fucking shameful that we're a few days away from another disaster of a transfer window thanks to this fucking idiot. Two days away from playing Cheaty at home, we should be looking forward to a home debut for a world class striker and we'll have that clueless bottle-job Havertz missing sitters and heading it wide for two yards out. Fucking pathetic. Fuck off Arteta.

This guy is linked with us ,but he's obviously not stupid

BREAKING: Mathys Tel’s current decision is to reject Tottenham proposal.
Despite willingness to sign him for €60m package and face to face talks, Tel has informed Spurs about his decision.
Barring any surprises, Tel won’t join Spurs… more PL clubs are on it now

What gets me is that for ages now (years) hes been saying we dont need a striker hes happy with what we had...despite a lot of pressue...now all of a sudden hes trying to sign one...and just think hes going to get a dud....Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:12 pmSo Arteta reckoned he could get away with it yet again when we had nobody up front?
