Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not a peep of criticism about their behaviour, no headlines screaming disgrace, nobody demanding bans. All quiet today.

Imagine the fucking uproar there would have been if we’d acted like that.

Fucking hypocrite c.unts.
Absolutely.

And they wonder why we Gooners get so Angry and Fucked Off about the Biased Treatment of Our Club, Team, Players etc by the Scum Media.

It's about time All of our Ex-players; especially those with High Profiles in Media/TV/Radio/Punditry etc Started calling it like it is. It's Bad enough when we get Fucked up the Arris by the FA & PGMOL and then Slagged Off from our Hole to our Pole by Cun.t.s like Cundy, Spit the Scouse (the Child Abuser) and of course Rat Face & Shearer. And Why? I guess it is because we are a Bigger and Classier Club, Team and Set of Fans than all of theirs.

So they can all FOAD.

There were people suggesting we should sign the geezer who can’t get into the Brighton team ahead of him so that’s not as batshit as you may think!

Smith-Rowe scores his 6th league goal of season today for fulham - our captain invisible has scored two league goals this season for the team in second place in the league :rubchin:

Let it go Augie, he’s not a better option than Odegaard

His goals and assists in an inferior fulham team would suggest otherwise

Nope. Smith Rowe is not what we need. He flatters to deceive. Odegaard is in poor form but still better than ESR by a distance. They are completely different players anyway.

FFS how long are we meant to write off odeargod's performances as being "in poor form" ?? He has been shit for most of the season so it isnt a recent dip we are talking about  Those of us who were blessed enough to see the great Dennis Bergkamp in his prime would be able to highlight the differences I am talking about - Beergkamp's brilliance was seeing his team-mates runs early and sliding the ball through into their path for an attempt on goal. Captain invisible takes too many touches to himself and allows the opposition backline to get into position and he is killing the runs that his attacking team-mates are making and I have said this for a long time. You make a nonsense throwaway remark about smith-rowe flattering to deceive, but the only two stats that matter in his position are goals and assists, and he has better stats than captain invisible so who is flattering to deceive more then ??

I know the smith-rowe ship has sailed now at AFC so this isnt a lets get him back agenda but more of a "we need better than odeargod" - you say they are different players but the reality is that the 10 position is about the ability to create goals and chip in with some goals too, and captain invisible's numbers are nowhere near good enough for a team that dominates possession as much as we do. There are still some Gooners with a hard on for arteta's golden child captain, but more and more are now recognising him as more hype than substance, and again if we are to progress and become winners again, then having a better captain who doesnt go hiding and having a more creative attacking midfielder is a must

Yeah. We do need better than Odegaard. Either Odegaard himself back in form every game. Or an upgrade. But ESR turns up infrequently. He is injury prone. Unfit. Misses tonnes of sitters. Bloke is not a loss.
