We've made a mistake getting rid of Tierney. One of the best full backs in the league.
A great back-up if he's not going to be started

Sure he's great but he only stays fit for a couple weeks before he's off injured again.

Tierney is not good enough. Timber and Skelly are the standard. Skelly less so but you can see what he will become.

Skelly is a midfielder playing left back in a system that allows him to move into centre midfield - he is doing a great job dont get me wrong, but at some stage is he going to want to play in his more natural midfield position ? His international call up will have muddied the waters for the young man cos he will probably know that he wont get into the engerland team as quick if he goes back to playing in midfield, but all the coaches in the club rave about him as a midfielder and I think he should get a chance there before spunking big money on zubimendi

What I like about MLS when he pushes into midfield is he drives at the oppo. He runs at them and drops the shoulder, skins the opposite player, and looks to put a pass into the box.

Compare that to Ohdeargod and his impression of Hleb the Circle Dribbler, slowing down every attack, taking too many touches, spinning around on the spot....

The problem is we don't have a natural striker that can constantly run onto those passes that MLS looks to put in.

So Arteta will either play him as a full back or, worse, coach that adventurous style out of his play.

If Diet Pep was brave and adventurous he could consider MLS alongside Rice. I would swap Son of Hleb with Nwaneri, bring in an actual proper striker and a new left winger. Yes it could leave us a bit short defensively but it could be devastating going forwards. You know what they say, attack is the best formula of defence.

Exactly the way I would play it buddy - yes we are going to need to buy/sign a centre midfielder in the summer IF both partey and jorginho leave, but I would like to start next season with Lewis-Skelly in the 6 and rice in the 8 with either Nwanieri or a new signing in the 10. I have long said that the slow service our disappearing captain gives our front line would kill even the best strikers in the world, but the reality is now that we need to spend big on a striker or go home if we are to kick on, and IF/when we do that then we need to get a more striker friendly playmaker to supply him.

I’ve never quite got the anti Vardy thing on here. We’d have been a better side if he’d joined us and whatever you might think of him, he’s a natural goal scorer.

When he was linked with Arsenal after Leicester City won the title I was all for it. My immediate thought was there was a player who wouldn't be bullied or intimidated especially in away grounds like Stoke City's.
He chose to stay at Leicester, which was fair enough, but his going to the papers saying he turned down Arsenal put me off him as a person.
