I like the look of Sesko you know. Younger. Proven in a better league. I can see why is preferred choice.

That means we've actually written his name down on a piece of paper on our summer wish list. The next two items are dog biscuits and teabags.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 8:08 pm'I was told by 2 very good sources, that I trust extraordinarily, that Viktor Gyökeres is absolutely Arsenal's number one striker target, there is a lot of people inside Arsenal including Berta that want him & it could be a lot further down the line than reported.' Surely I am not the only one who can foresee a situation where the cone boy signs either rodrygo (real madrid) or nico williams (bilbao) and then doesnt sign a top striker ? His latest comments are saying something along the lines of needing a goal threat from other areas, and that screams out to me that if we sign a quality winger he thinks that will cure our shortcomings in front of goals
I have continually said that I dont expect the cone boy to be under any threat of losing his job this summer (but he should be), but if he goes into next season with havertz as first choice striker and captain invisible as first choice attacking midfielder, then I give him a month or two at best before the fans are screaming for his sacking
He could sign messi to replace martinelli if he wants, but that alone would not fix our issues in front of goals, so if he thinks he can avoid the tough decisions of upgrading on his favourites, then he has another thing coming to him

His praise of Havertz last week made me think he wouldn't buy a striker. The next signs will be when he starts telling us how well Merino did up front, and that Jesus is again looking good in Training.augie wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 2:27 pmSurely I am not the only one who can foresee a situation where the cone boy signs either rodrygo (real madrid) or nico williams (bilbao) and then doesnt sign a top striker ? Yeah! You can see it coming....If he doesn't sign a Striker; I mean a Proper Out and Out Top Class Striker, it will confirm what we all fear that his Arrogance and Delusion are so profound he genuinely believes we can win the Prem and Other Trophies without one. Which of course The World and HIs Dog "Know" with Absolute Certainty simply is Not Possible.John F wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 3:31 pmHis praise of Havertz last week made me think he wouldn't buy a striker. Absolutely zero chance that we don’t sign a striker Augie, zero.
Huge gamble whichever of the two we buy because we need them to bang, and not in season 2 or 3. We need them to bang from day 1. Can’t say I’ve a preference on either, one scores for fun in a farmers league so big questions if he can do it with the big boys.
The other possibly has a higher ceiling, is playing in a tougher league (although not by much!) and overall could turn out to be the better striker.
Massive, massive risk involved.
Isaak the one you know would come in and bang from day 1 but gauranteed he’d be a perma crock here after we spunked a fortune on him. He’s already missed a shit load of chopper games this season and that’s with a week’s rest between games. He wouldn’t last pissing time with our playing schedule.

Marcel Schäfer and Andrea Berta are in contact. While Arsenal are also monitoring other strikers such as Viktor Gyökeres, their pursuit of Sesko is serious. Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of the 21 y/o forward from RB Leipzig.
His release clause for the summer stands at €80 million. Deal on.

No, you're not the only one augie....you don't read my posts do you?

I've said a couple of times this week (probably on this thread) that it's very possible that he'll sign a wide player and maybe a striker like Nkunku, who will not be an automatic first choice. That means he can keep his vanity project Havertz in the starting eleven and the likes of Nkunku will be a squad player, rotated in and out.
If he spends bundles on a striker like Gyokeres or Sesko (I have doubts about both), then he's duty bound to play them and that puts Havertz's place at risk, or he drops Captain Milksop and plays Havertz behind the striker. I can't see him dropping either of those two, so where does a new goal scorer fit in?
Fucking hope I'm wrong, but nothing surprises me with our arrogant Mkll.

I don't think he reads any of our posts! Thus he's constantly posting things like "I was the only one that said x, y, and z" or "everyone lit me up when I was the only one that pointed out a, b, and c".

These Twitter ITKs must live in their parents’ box room. Absolute piles of steaming horseshit they are making up.
