🚨🔴⚪️ Viktor #Gyökeres has once again made it clear in the last few hours that he only wants to join Arsenal. A full agreement until 2030 is in place after a very good phone call with Mikel Arteta.

Negotiations with Sporting are ongoing. As always reported, Manchester United were never a concrete option in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Andrea Berta was focused on Benjamin #Sesko and Gyökeres. There have been no new developments between #Arsenal and RB Leipzig recently. Now, Arsenal are trying to finalise the Gyökeres deal.

sesko seems more rounded but not as prolific yet.
May I ask how? Not trying to be funny/sarcastic or anything like that - I genuinely don’t see what others do in Sesko, so I’d like an honest opinion/breakdown of him.

The most I’ve gotten so that he can score long range goals in the German League (how many of the 15 he’s scored - also long range goals aren’t a measure of a good striker) and he can jump high. I don’t quite see how he’s the striker to take us forward.

Again, not digging you out mate, or any Sesko fan, I just would like to know why.

🚨 @johncrossmirror:

Arsenal are closing in on a sensational swoop for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyökeres. 🇸🇪

The Gunners have an agreement in place on a five year contract in excess of £200,000-a-week. 💰

The part that baffles and amuses me (and I'm not calling out any specific poster here) is when people refer to sesko as more rounded while acknowledging that right now gyokeres is a better finisher - is there anything more fundamental for a striker than finishing, so how can he be classed as more rounded if he isnt at least equally as good at finishing ?? :? It's like saying one keeper is more rounded than another even though the "less rounded" is better at making saves

After all the will he won't he ... and the Sesko stuff... Firstly I am glad / relieved that we have Actually Bought a Fucking Proper Striker... Striker being his Sole Position (*) and I hope he is a Massive Success....

The times in the past 3 seasons when; along with many others on here, I was thinking if we'd had a Proper Striker we'd be out of sight in this game, especially with Saka and Martinelli (and others) put some great crosses in...

(*) Of course we just have to hope that Arteta doesn't Fuck this Up and use or play him in a system that stops his natural ability as a Striker to score goals.
