Gave up 2m Euros in bonuses so the Transfer fee could be reduced
His agent is giving up his fee amounting to circa £6m
According to Perry Groves is a bonafide Gooner, supported the club as a kid
I can't remember a more drawn out saga than this for any player. Absolutely buzzing he is joining us. If we get Eze, he is going to have chances galore next season. Finally sorted the 9. Bring it on.
Full agreement reached for the transfer of Viktor Gyökeres to Arsenal Football Club. - @HandofArsenal
Am I being bad minded or have the club (finally) agreed to Sporting's demands partly to distract our attention from the Fact that the Madueke signing was getting far more negativity than they'd envisaged? From what I have seen on the various media platforms the majority of Gooners are slagging off the club! (So it's not just us!)
Interesting observation OBG. You might well be on to something.

That's a bit of a conspiracy theory tbh, its a lot of money to drop if the aim was to placate the fan base. There are external factors too such as Gyok effectively giving his own money to reduce the transfer fee and his agent. They are nothing to do with Arsenal, and this could have dragged on if something didn't give. I understand why people would think in this way, but at the end of the day we got the most prolific striker in Europe for a similar price to that we paid for Auba.
Madueke is a shocking signing, but as a squad player he does offer more than Sterling. I am not happy its cost us £50m for the privilege though.
I was all in on Sesko but he showed zero desire to join us. Big cock Gyok on the other hand pulled out all the stops to become a gooner. He only wanted us and that’s good enough for me
Got a feeling this bloke is going to give it 100%....we need players to recognise what it is to play for the Arsenal
with the chances we make hes going to score some fuckin goals......thats for sure

welcome back Nutty
if Madueke was signed at the end of the window there would have been virtually no fuss other than the club he was coming from
best transfer window in a long time

Well Nutty, how often have you seen either the Government or another Big Company announce Good News so that they can 'slip' something less popular or welcome under the noses of the General Populace? It is an old and well worn practice that is used time and time again and Arsenal.Com are no exception. £5Million is a hell of a lot of money to forego / add into a deal or purchase; especially for the likes of us Paupers... But when it comes to business and getting what they want how do you think the Krankies got their "Billions"? And let's not forget, we are viewed as a 'Franchise' in the business world and what do Businesses & Companies like to do? Keep their Customers (in our case 'Fans') Happy (and in the dark) as to their 'real' intentions & purposes of their decisions #justsaying

Based on what exactly ??? As of this minute we have signed ONE PLAYER (zubi) who can be classed as a starting 11 player, and the other 3 signings (kepa, norgaard and chav reject) are squad fillers, and that to you equates as the best transfer window in a long time ??
I bet they unveil Madueke and Gokyeres together. The Arsenal PR dept won’t want the Madueke unveiling on his own due to all the negativity. They’ll bundle him in with Big Dik Vik.

Good call Nick....makes sense.
Which new player gets injured first.? Sadly it is bound to happen.
Arsenal working to complete deal to sign defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia. 21yo centre-back into last year at #ValenciaCF + #AFC move now very advanced. Personal terms done for Spain youth int’l to make switch. W/ @MarioCortegana @TheAthleticFC
