MADUEKE or MADAWANKA: Yet Another Pointless Chav Reject???

I agree with with BWK and others, that none of this is the fault of the player and which of us would turn down the move when it's clear that he's surplus to requirements at Chelsea? He's going to get serious stick from the crowd from day one unless he performs like peak Messi and I can't support that. It's likely to totally destroy his confidence.

All that said, this is a completely bonkers signing and makes no sense on any level. Nothing about him has ever indicated that he's a player we should be interested in and the very fact that he's surplus to requirements at their place ought to indicate that he's not good enough for us. It's also completely understandable that we're all pissed off with buying Chelsea's sub standard rejects, firstly because it helps them out of a hole and secondly because it makes us look like utter mugs....again!

However, maybe the worst part of this is the insane fee we're paying without question. I know I've said it before, but in what world does a bloke they paid 30m for, who hasn't made the grade and they want shot of, justify a 52m fee??! They ought to have lost 60% of his value, not fucking increased it. I'm not aware of anyone other club showing any interest, so how are we justified in happily shelling out? As others have said, 52m would have made a big hole in any fee for Eze, Rodrygo or Mitoma, but we're blowing it on another chav flop.

Not Madueke's fault, but he'll carry the can, when the fans ought to be turning on the clown Lego Head.

So Chelsea paid City 40 million for Cole Palmer. We are now seriously thinking of paying 52 million for ChavaWanka. Yes, prices have risen in the past two years....but seriously?!!!!

I know it’s not a popular transfer but I’m not taking the piss out of this kid. We also had so many take the piss out of Havertz and whilst he’s not a top striker, he’s been worth the money spent. We shall see if this lad is capable.

Sorry ClockEnd, but if Havertz is the yardstick, we ought to terminate this transfer immediately.

He's not a top striker, we paid top money for him, but you still think he has been worth the money we paid for him ??? :? Seriously ??? If we had a pub league striker up front against manure in last season's fa cup game we would probably have beaten them, but instead we had the german dud who missed chances any of us could have scored :cussing: :cussing: He is the poster boy for the cone boy's ineptitude in the transfer market, and simply is nowhere near good enough for the level we aspire to reach

I never wanted him. From what I have seen, I’m very surprised how he’s made it so far in professional football, but I can only judge him on his performances for The Arsenal.

I truly want to be proved wrong, though I doubt I will be.

Rough start, fans start having a go, scores a tap-in when we're 3-0 up against someone, Arteta claims he's shown his talent and importance to the team, bang average most weeks, scores a few between November and January, Arteta and his fan club tell everyone he's world class, injured for the rest of the season.

Sounds about right.

I'm not sure where Diet Pep is going to play him, I assume in place of Martinelli, but who knows

All I’ve heard about in defence of this transfer is that he will bring raw pace and ‘chaos’ to our front line, but he needs a better end product.

Sounds like Walcott to me, and I couldn’t stand that cünt either

Now that he's here let's get behind him at least until he's played a few competitive games.

He might be the new Pepe, he might be the new Henry, he's probably going to be somewhere in between - but let's give him a chance.
