Who's running Arsenal into the ground
We have just qualified for the Champions League for what, the tenth successive season, how many other clubs would dream of having such success. We have built the best club stadium in the country, how many other clubs would swap grounds with us, probably all of them. If you think the club is going down the pan then cast your mind back to the mid 80's if it goes back that far, now they were dark days. People are frustrated because we have come to expect success each year, why, because Wenger has delivered so much for our club. I don't think it is quite time to replace him and when that time does come I sure as hell hope we can find someone more suited to our club than Gus Hiddink.

No, we need more than one player....but what with the loan repayments on the new stadium (that big thing we play in, which you might have noticed) then clearly we are not swimming in money, are we?selsdon wrote:As Hill Wood said the other day...we have money for one experienced player. That player may still arrive
And one player is all that's required is it?
We have no goalkeeper, we have no proper centre midfielder, we have no centre forward - that there is the spine of the team. We have no creative midfielders, Cesc aside; we have no wingers (Theo's a busted flush), we have no captain.
Let alone cover for all the above positions.
Arsene Wenger has done wonders for this club and for that will forever be a legend but...
his time is up.
Wenger has been pulling signings out of his ass for years, despite the modest budget he's been given.
Remember, Chelsea and ManUre have been writing blank cheques for years...whereas Wenger hasn't had the finances to do that!
You know all this.

No wind up at all.
Our main ambition this season is to finish top 4 and have champions league football for the season after.
Is that acceptable considering we pay the highest ticket prices in the fuckign world?
Anyone who thinks we can challenge for the big two trophies are surely the ones on a wind-up.
And anyone who thinks we can hold onto our one and only true world-class player with no european football next season needs sectioning.

Okay so your not on a wind up. I hope that we can challenge for the Premiership but admit that a top four is more realistic, even more so considering those teams most expected to challenge us are looking weaker than last season. As for the Champions League, we have a reasonably tough group which I think is a good thing and if we come through that then anything is possible in the knock out stages.
