Fenenbache Away Advice Please!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes that will be great and safe.
Even i have a bit of turkish blood in me (mother of my father). Knowing them its going to be really dangerous to be there by myself (My friends are afraid and its too expensive for us to go there), but what can i do this is my golden chance to watch Arsenal, so 4 me it's worth trying and maybe met some of you guys (Also i just find out that my and your English sound very diferent because of my American slang accent, i met some Irish soldier at work, it was very very fun) But it will be fun to have that pleasure and met with u guys also.

im really of the opinion that seeing fenerbahce is a once in a lifetime experience, and after watching the real football factories: international (yeah yeah, alright) it really opened my eyes to the intense nature of the atmosphere, but also (and it may just be an isolated occurance) but the fenerbahce fans created a much more party atmosphere than their very hostile trans-bosphorus counterparts. Now although they claimed in the programme that they were intending to be impartial throughout, the legacy of the leeds fans may have had a subtle influence on the final product.

i think as far as a football experience goes, this may rank up there with some of your old farts memories of anfield back in 89 when i was 2  (feeling old?) obviously the history and the result will be significantly less important, but the experience could well be second to none purely because of the fenerbahce support

and it depends if i can blag a couple days off uni and i can stretch my loan far enough this term... :barscarf:

Its a must go trip boys i think but do your research. Going away on your own is a different kettle of fish.
Generally what i found was that before the game you can naturally blend in wherever but if you are in the away end and held back for any time you are exposed as an away fan. So leaving the ground is the "Fun" part.
This could be dodgy but i am up for this.

If you are not on the membership scheme though, it could be difficult.

crocit wrote:El-z, how much do u think it'll be for flights approx for Porto and Kiev? u planing going Kiev? and did u go with the travel club? ive never been to Eurpe to see the arsenal and plan to these 2 games, if it aint too exspensive!
I always go with the travel club mainly cause im too lazy to sort out flights and a hotel myself lol. plus its kinda nice and chilled in a way. Porto cost about 180 for flights and a match ticket when i went couple of years ago. Im gonna take the hotel package this time mind you. I would love to go to Kiev but its just not possible with the finances as tight as they are plus its coming up so early. But i totally recommend away champions league games for any arsenal fan who wants to go. They are something really special and unique. Anyone whose been to the Madrid and Milan epics will agree with me on that. I mean Sevilla last season was one of the most incredible times of my life and we lost 3-1. enough said really. Oh and for anyone who hasnt seen it this is the greeting we can expect from Fenerbahce

I wanna go cause it'll be a tense and dramatic game with probably the greatest atmosphere you'll see in the CL this season. However im hoping none of our fans are stupid enough to think they can go over there all hard cause they will get creamed if they start
