Saw this band quite a few times in London and at the old Kursaal Southend. They were a little bit different at the time and possibly one of the fore runners of punk. Not so much musically but more in their attitude and difference to everything else. RIP Mr Harvey.
I was only eight in '69 but the music has been with me ever since. My cousins were all about 15 and used to come round my house to play the latest Trojan release. Remember my dad taking me down East Street market to a shop called Jordan's where he bought me a crombie, two tone trousers, orange striped Ben Sherman and ox-blood tassle loafers. I was the best dressed kid in juniors.olgitgooner wrote:Guess you were a sixties skinhead, too, then Reg?Reg Niseth wrote:For any ol' skinheads (60s originals)

That music certainly took me back to the days when I had loads of hair, but chose to have most of it shaved off!!
Good on yer, son. Really cheered me up, that did.
Think my favourite SAHB track has to be Faith Healer, they were unbelievably brilliant live, had many a great night going to a SAHB gigReg Niseth wrote:one of the my favourite SAHB tracks along with swampsnake and gangbangcharliegeorgewhocanhitem wrote:One for the teenagers here![]()
