away games, sit or stand?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But standing for me as I'm sure all who know me would expect me to say. Also would be great to have standing areas at every ground.
sit down shut up :D :D

I've got to say our away support has not been as good this year as last. We've got to stop sitting before it will become the norm

Standing obviously, just hate it when stewards try to make you sit down, for 'health and safety' reasons. :?

I prefer standing but this is the way I look at it.

I see who is behind me and whether they are standing before deciding to stay on my feet. After all it's a bit much to expect somebody sat behind me to have paid £50+ to look at my arse for 90 minutes (not that I'm not open to offers but it'll cost you a lot more than £50 per 90 minutes).

Fortunately I've stood at Fulham, Blackburn & Bolton throughout and also had seats right next to an aisle at the last two games so I've just stood there mostly.

i think i read somewhere that our ticket allocation for sunderland was cut for "health and safety" reasons by the police because our support was standing last season, is this true?

Not to sure for us, but they did for liverpool's allocation

It's a joke really, whats dangerous about standing on your own two feet?

the 2 guys infront of me sat down at the kickoff but got up for every chance, tackle, corner. shy and every song (except Adebayors)... too much like hard work, in the end i just stayed up and forced everyone else behind me to stand too :barscarf:

on a nearly unrelated topic, i just watched the opening pitch at the last game at yankee stadium, big big historic event and all that (think highbury and wembley i guess) and everyone was sitting down, clapping politely and a single section made a bit of noise...

see what our world is coming to :(

Last season we were fantastic in all the away games I went to, Dont think I sat down for any of them and that's the way it should be.

This season though I went to Fulham and was positined in the front row and some muppet and his family was sat behind us with his packed lunches so wasn't able to stand which fucked me off as well as the result.

I can understand that maybe elderly people and kids want to sit down but I remember being a kid in the late 90s and the occasional away game I had to stand on my seat all the way through as I couldn't see but I didn't give a shit
