Kieron Dyer?? ...... Why Not?
Kieron Dyer?? ...... Why Not?
Ok because he's injury prone is the obvious answer. But he went some way last season to maybe proving that is behind him.
He's a good age and brings a fair few years of Premiership Experience. He's English which for me is a bonus given the scarcity in the club at the moment. He's available and won't break the bank. But most importantly he's just the type of player we need. He can play wide and has pace to burn. Even if he didn't play wide he would give us a midfielder who is able to burst through with pace, something we don't get from any of our current midfielders. Right now everything is sideways and our midfield is very similar. Dyer would give us something different. I've personally rated him for a very long time and think he has genuine class.
Thoughts?

I wondered this myself today, he awnts to move nearer London so he'd love to come to us.
Not 100% convinced of his quality thoguh, looks very average in an England shirt, also think we have enough hot heads in the dressing room alerady. Lots of people talking about a great atmosphere and not sure if he might disrupt that

KIERON? NOW THAT IS DIRE!!
NO WAY!! 20 ODD GOALS IN 190 GAMES AND INJURED EVERY FEW WEEKS!!
HE WAS A GOOD PLAYER A FEW YEARS AGO BUT HAS NEVER FULFILLED HIS POTENTIAL OR REACHED THE VERY TOP LEVEL.
PLUS, HE HAS ALWAYS COME ACROSS TO ME AS A CHARLIE BIG BOLLOCKS!! WE DON'T NEED ANY MORE OF THOSE TYPES AT OUR CLUB!!

yeah, the hampsters are surely collecting them ..IW8Goalmachine wrote:just saw on skysports that he is in talks with West Ham after the club riched a fee agreement, there will be some fireworks in that dressing room next season i hope freddie gets through it

bedlamy, die-harder,watshisname-who-flopped-in-livershit and b4 then was in leeds .... potent mix for fireworks ... and talk about ambition freddie-style

apart from not being good enough & displaying all the traits that puts Arsene off English players he would not pass a medical - read a report today that he has a long standing serous liver problem that needs daily medication & also has a pin in his shin as a result of his problems so West Ham are welcome to another over paid player to sit in the treatment room

Don't worry Trevheff,
I took similar stick from some of the lads when I suggested Defoe as a solution to our scoring problems - by the way, he scored a cracker yesterday!!.
Mind you, even Defoe was a better suggestion than that old weak-ankled spit-roaster!!
At least Defoe had the fact that he is an Arsenal fan going for him - if nothing else
