He won’t be able to do that he'll be washing his hair or something like it.
I'm sorry, I know we should all be behind 'our' players but he and numerous others appear to be mercenaries.
I know myself that I would have given up just about everything in my life to have made it as a proper footballer and not failed at county level.
God only knows what I would have done to play at Highbury let alone for the Arse.
I guess I am looking for too much when I expect the modern players to love the club like I and many of you all do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to be miserable after such a great result, but that's just me tonight.

What has worried me isn't so much the not scoring, every striker goes through a poor patch, it is the he hasn't been getting chances. So if he was going to score, he would have to do it from 30 yards which has never been Ade's strength. Been effective in the CL this season more then he has in the EPL, be good if we can start giving him a decent supply as when we have, he has either scored or played well.
Did fairly well tonight for 49 minutes and then switched to conserving energy which at 4-1 up and with a game at the weekend is understandable.
He has had a dip in form.
Let's judge him in a couple of months before writing him off.
To be fair quartz 2 and a half seasons should be long enough to judge a player and in that time can we honestly say that for a striker his goals to chances ratio is good enough or that his total inability to understand or work within the offside rule is acceptable either ? Of course that is only judging him as a player but if you also factor in his greedy arrogant over-inflated personna as well then he would be fcuk all loss and should have been flogged in the summer. I would play bedtner ahead of him based on form right now

You cant just drop our current club top scorer because he's not scoring as much as he did last season. At least we are getting goals from more players like nasri, denilson, theo etc... I would rather have a striker who isnt scoring all our goals with players around him that score than one person who scores all our goals and we become completely reliant on him. Maybe when eduardo returns we should give eduardo a chance but atm we gotta stick with ade. Although I am in favour of giving vela more match time

Watching him on Sat against Everton it struck me how little he moves before the ball is played towards him. He seems to have no idea how to anticipate(spl?) where the ball is going. I have no real problem with him starting games as I think Bendtner/vela are still not good/strong enough to play a whole game but I think he should be subed more often. The Everton game was a good example, the Everton players were scared of players running at them but found it easyer to mark him. Once we had gone 2-1 up it would of been an ideal time to bring on someone like Vela.
According to official stats he was offside 5 times on sat but so was the Everton striker(cant remember his name!!!!)

Last season showed he has work rate, heading ability, strength and pace.
His goals to games ratio is poor...but it does not tell the whole story. Because he is a not a Lineker style fox in the box just waiting to score.
He is as much a support player as he is a goalscorer, who can play number 10 or as the front striker.
Or, as is Arsenal's style, both roles in the same game.
He is not perfect, and needs very much to improve his frequent habit of getting caught offside.
As for his financial demands..."You don't ask you don't get".
There are others in the squad who I would guess have tried to get high salaries...
Though to be fair to them they might have tried without the naive and demeening PR Campaign Adebayor used last summer.

Until the start of 2007 - 2008 season he was disposable without much thought.augie wrote: To be fair quartz 2 and a half seasons should be long enough to judge a player and in that time can we honestly say that for a striker his goals to chances ratio is good enough or that his total inability to understand or work within the offside rule is acceptable either ? I wish Ade would always play like that though!QuartzGooner wrote:and another one!
He was full of running, committed and was menacing... I do wish he'd gone straight over to Bendtner though to thank him, but that's only my personal preference, and I suppose he went straight to the fans instead.

That's the Ade we want, and hopefully he'll do the business against Sp*rs.
On a side note, it seems that Bendtner looks more comfortable as the second striker, rather than the target man.
