Why Arsene will lead us to glory this season
oh dear oh dear, a 'rival fan' on a windup.
I can't believe any Gooner would seriously agree with the first post anyway! We have a couple of very good youngsters, the rest are so so. I can tell you what will happen......like Cesc, they will play in a mediocre squad, winning nothing, and when they have learnt their 'trade' so to speak, and become excellent players, they will move on to a big club with a serious chance of winning things and who pay their top players top
money, ensuring that Arsenal remain on this eternal 'transition period'.
Arsenal have no chance of winning anything until Wenger changes his stubborn pig-headed ways.

Sadly, Wenger cannot build a team if the more experienced players keep leaving!goonarmy wrote:Wenger's been building a good team for the next 3 years for about the last 4 years though and that team just doesn't materialise.QuartzGooner wrote:Wenger is building a good team for 2010 - 2011.
Hleb & Flamini were a huge loss, and the injuries to Eduardo & Rosicky have also robbed us of much needed experience and quality.
Problem is, Gallas will probably walk soon, and that means yet another experienced pro being replaced by an inexperienced one... probably Djouoru.
With this constant conveyor belt of youth replacing experience, can we ever keep a settled side together long enough for them to forge a team?
- a team is not just personnel, but relationships. The famous Arsenal back four was not formed overnight, but over years together, they formed a bond that made them what they were. How can this Arsenal team form similar bonds when they're always on the move?
The core of the team is changing every season at the moment, and that isn't healthy. We NEED stability!
Without it, we're pissing in the wind.

Is this a tounge in cheek thread or... I dont get it. Money buys success. period. Some may not like the method but the method proves true time and time again. Not only in football but in every major professional sport. I'm not a big baseball fan but the Red Sox and Yankees are always near the top because they spend 5X the amount of other teams. Money buys the best players and the best players are the best for a reason.

Dont care about the CL wrote:I've heard alot of negativity on this board recently about how certain players aren't good enough, how we need to spend £30m in January etc. etc. Erm, what rubbish.
Look at the youth system weve got, second to none. And although the young lads may have heroically bowed out 2-0 at Burnley, they have more than proved that they are without a doubt one of the strongest groups of youngsters the club, the country, europe, and probably the world has ever seen. Take Vela for example. Even his name sounds fucking class. There's no way we will fail to win the title with him. In the future of course, because these youngsters need time.
I was talking to a Spurs mate of mine (STUPID SPUD LOL) who said "you were saying exactly the same bollocks about 3 years ago, how you had all these great youngsters, and you haven't fucking got anywhere". Well i've got news for all you haters - arsene knowsHe knows that you don't have to buy so called "quality experienced players" with "money". Look at Liverpool, spending £20m on Torres! Sure, he's undoubtedly the worlds leading striker, but while they throw down loads of cash, we've got 16 year old Jack Wiltshire waiting in the wings! I know who i'd rather have, and it isn't the Spainiard
![]()
But just remeber, the youngsters take time to bed in. People are wanting instant sucsess, have they already forgotten we won the title, at Anfield, in '89!![]()
So just remember - we're set for a glorious future
Welcome to the forum Mr Hill Wood
see look wat fans the club is breedingEL-Z wrote:please tell me your joking?123456arsenal wrote:Bendtner is better than Torres atleast he can actually stay fit
boycott i tell you
other wise as in the precher in Zulu film
"dont you know cant you see were all going to be come cavair an pop merchants"
We're not as bad as some people think but Wenger's stupied pride and refusal to ever admit he's made a mistake that held us back form winning a title for 4 years between 98 & 02 has now been taken another level and until Wenger can hold us hands up and admit a player he thought was good enough isn't it will be very tough to win anything.

NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!! The second we act like chelsea or man city is the day I would be ashamed to be an arsenal fan, doesnt feel like you've acheived that much even if you win a title, just feels like youve bought sucess. Before you know it our club will become a brand not a footballing club. I would rather support a shit club over a good brand!! Its bad enough having emirates logos EVERYWHERE around arsenal, would you want us to become a chelsea????? (I hope the answers no)Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:Is this a tounge in cheek thread or... your right and I am NOT demanding we spend £100m but a misery in comparison £30m and that is belated - I dont want to buy success but I want to INVEST IN IT

Spot on g88ner, to bring in youth to a team and club as big as us, u need a solid base/foundation to start from.g88ner wrote:Sadly, Wenger cannot build a team if the more experienced players keep leaving!goonarmy wrote:Wenger's been building a good team for the next 3 years for about the last 4 years though and that team just doesn't materialise.QuartzGooner wrote:Wenger is building a good team for 2010 - 2011.

You cant expect youngsters to come staight in to a 1st team that isnt winning and expect them to change games. You have to have a solid team that is winning and cruzing through games, then bring in young players when we pick up injuries

BTW Bendtner better than torres please be serious!!!
