Congratulations Beckham

Beckham's coming out here in October to play Sydney FC. :D

The MLS is at about the same level of the A-League, not worth following really. I follow A-League only 'cause Sydney are my 'home club'. I'd imagine its the same in the US, but it will never make it big there in my opinion, even with Beckham's hype. He will turn the sport into a fad and that's all.

I don't know how the spuds have supporters at all.

I can get away going to Sydney games in an Arsenal shirt anyway. :D

The blue strip plus a Sydney FC cap and I'm set. :D

Thinking of forking out the money for their new kit though...the away one is sponsored by JVC. :D

Bekham's presense in the US league would definitely help with publicity and may very well help the league grow in awareness ... as to any injection of skill, well u must be having a laff .. :P :P :P :P .. as beckham has no skill to cause excitement or to pass onto the league, besides crossing the ball or taking free-kicks ...

If it was someone like ronaldinho, deco, ronaldo (manure version), cesc etc .. folks with creativity and some trickery .. perhaps ...

I rate Beckham for effort/drive/determination .. but think he is way over-rated (and obscenely over-paid) ..

I couldnt give a shit either. About their league or about our connection with the Columbo Rapids  and I have no interest (If anybody from ARSENAL or ARSENAL.COM is reading) to read about it in the programme or website. Its a sub standard league and if he cant score a free kick against them then god help him !
