I have to be honest and say that I'm not at all bothered about Arshavin. I'm grateful that we have at least signed someone but I'd give him back tomorrow if we had the option of a CD or CM instead.
Once Walcott, Fabregas and sicknote are back I can't see where we're going to need him unless he replaces that tower of shite up front.
I'm happy to give him a fair crack but I'm bitterly disappointed about our inability/refusal to address our real issues.
Regardless if this signing I still feel that AW has passed his sell by date for us now. His arrogance and lack of balls in the transfer market has pushed him almost beyond redemption in my eyes. His masterplan, admirable as it was, has failed and he refuses to accept it. I honestly think he hasn't admitted it to himself let alone anyone else.
I think we need a new man at the helm and I think the arguments about 'nobody could replace him' and 'who could do it on the money he has' are moot points. There are plenty of managers out there that would cut their arms off for his job. They could finance a new team by selling some of the shite we have. And for those that remain? Well, players don't forget how to play good football overnight!
