ROMA THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought Denilson was going to miss. Also I didn't have much faith in Alumnia to save (other than their shite pen) any - IMO.

doni shud of saved some of ours down the middle but i don't think almunia could of saved any of theirs, most of them were perfect, maybe almunia shud of done better when he was tryin to do his weasel impression when that dude they brought on for pens took one.

if he wasn't confident then he done the right thing in not stepping up i thought Gallas had a good game tonight.

if he was crying it shows how much he wanted it

Arsenal"s Man of the Match Julio Baptista. To think Wenger once wanted to pay £14m for him.

Awful performancw against an average Roma team but we are still in it

Just seen this article

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... -Rome.html

"It was a thrilling way to end a night that demonstrated the best and worst in football following news that an Arsenal supporter had been stabbed outside the stadium shortly before the match."

Anyone hear that?

Hope whoever it is is ok.

We are such a pale shadow of the side we were last season, i never thought i'd see a wenger side having trouble stringing three passes together but we have been like that for most of the season and again tonight. We were lucky we were playing Roma and not a quality side, i dread to think what would have happened if we had been playing the likes of Barca they would have destroyed us on tonights showing.

Looking on the bright side we surely can't get any worse and who knows if we get a nice draw we could end up seeing one of the worst teams we have had for some years in the semi final of the champions league.
