THE ARSENALS GREATEST NIGHT

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We played Newcastle mate and won 1-0. Think that was the day Kenny Sansom played against us and nearly scored.

I read that a couple days ago. It was long but a great read. Well written.

This is one of the best videos on YouTube. Has great clips and commentary. Includes the opening ceremony/flower giving.

Yeah i was there he did score but it was ruled out for offside. Strange day with news filtering through of the disaster
I was on the North Bank (god i loved it there) that day and it was weird. Little bits of information with people on radios and stuff but did not know the full extent until the pub after the game.

Reading a proof of this at the moment. While I'm naturally enjoying it because of its subject matter, I do think the book as a whole is a bit of a mish mash of different things and doesnt really excel at any in particular area (i.e. as a football book, a personal memoir or a socio-political comment). A lot is taken from already published biogs and the rest feels a bit like a vanity project...but definitely worth a read for all gooners.

That was the best night of my life. I've just sat the kids down to watch the youtube. I feel like a git because I had a go when they started yapping. It felt like talking in church.

Still raises the hairs on the back of my neck. For some reason I still doubt we are going to score when Richardson disposseses Barnes. How irrational is that  :?:
