As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
no its not down to fergie from what they have been saying on sunday supplement, its down to that crowd who own him wouldnt make any difference bcuz i couldnt see wenger targeting him.
Tremendous player but he'll go to Real Madrid for a fortune we could never match; not now or at any time in the past.
It's not just the transfer fee - his probable wages would be off the scale.
Although I'd rather pay him what he'd probably get at Madrid and have a player who runs himself into the ground every week, than what we have received this season from Areybayour after his preposterous pay hike last summer
We could if we didn't buy him. Lets face it, he's a journeyman and on loan for a year, we must be able to afford that. What, £120k a week? We pay a fraction ;less per week to Ade.
Arsene wouldn't be comfortable with the whole loan thing anyway.

RVP, cesc, greddy bullocks, toure, all want parity wages
Kudos to the guy cos he is a great worker and not a bad finisher either but if we are all granted our wish that the greedy *word censored* up front gets sold then is a forward line of tevez/arshavin/eduardo/rvp/vela all on the small side ? Of course he could play anyone of them up front with bedtner but I think that the thought of bedtner being one of our 1st choice strikers would scare the shit out of many of us
For me, if we are lucky enough to sell greedybayor, then we need to sign a strike partner for arshavin and play our little ruskie off the main striker -that is without question his best position so I am thinking that we need a pacy striker with some sort of physical presence about him for that to work (dare I say it but a younger henry or anelka without the attitude)
No Augie, Tevez is short but he's a stocky fucker and strong like Rooney. Tevez is getting knocked out of the way by no one. Do we need pace? Maybe the prem league has changed. It's certainly more physical....check Utd and Chelsea. Also, **** have Valencia and they are looking up to a top 7 finish. Look at the size of the lads at Stoke?
So, Tevez would fit the bill as far as I am concerned as the prem is .stronger
